• Jul. 1, 2006 - Cub Scouts/ American Heritage Girls Meeting Information

Most families involved have probably heard this already, but we wanted to officially announce that Cub Scouts and American Heritage Girls will be meeting at the same time/place beginning in September! Both groups have had many requests for this, and First Christian Church has graciously agreed to host us all!

We'll be meeting the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month (beginning in September) from 3:30-5 p.m. at First Christian Church (at the corner of Court St. and Lamar Alexander Pkwy). Cub Scout meetings will begin downstairs in the fellowship hall, and AHG meetings will start upstairs in the sanctuary. (More details will be provided by each group as we get closer to September.)

Cub Scouts Pack 442 is for BHEA  boys in 1st-5th grades.  You can start Cub Scouts at any grade; it is not necessary to begin in 1st grade.  Pack 442 has lots of activities this summer, and boys are encouraged to register and jump in at any time. For more information, contact Cubmaster Tim Richardson at
TDR@timrichardson.com, Ass't Cubmaster Mark Blair  at 579-6610,  or Pack Committee Chair Sharon Wall at sonzmom@yahoo.com. You can view the upcoming activities at by clicking on the link on the sidebar for Cub Scouts.

American Heritage Girls is for girls in K-12th grade. We currently have 65 BHEA girls involved in our troop. You can jump in at any level; there is no need to start in kindergarten.  For more information, contact Sarah Small at shc.small@gmail.com or Caroline Milne at milnec@bellsouth.net. For more information about AHG, see the national website or visit the blog here.

We are looking forward to the fall! Please contact any of us if you would like to register your son/daughter or have questions regarding meetings, costs, etc.
