Dec. 9, 2007 - Made with Love

I found some more material as a reminent at JoAnn's.  Purchased it thinking I will use it if I find a shirt to match.  When I got home I looked at a pile of t-shirts I had and look how awsome it matched. Baby Bear enjoyed playing and working on her walking in this dress today.

Look what I just made!  I am so excited it actually worked. I took a reminent of material that I picked up for for like 40 cents.  I found a shirt (Gap) that was a hand me down that had a stain on it.  I took and cut off the stain, took the back part of a two piece skirt pattern that I have made and cut out the reminent. I then sewed it to the shirt.  Being that I only used half the pattern instead of both front and back.  I had a perfect size.  Not to fluffy.  It turned out soooo cute.

Look what else I did.....  I took a dress that my husband did not like because of the top strapps and cut off the bottom of the dress, found a shirt that matched then trimmed a little off the shirt and sewed them together and new dress.  Oh and did I mention both were hand me downs I did not spend a penny on this dress.

Oct. 23, 2007 - Made With Love Projects
Posted in Made With Love

I just wanted to update on what is going on in the world of "Made with Love". That is the sewing that I am doing in my life. Now that I have a sewing machine.  I am having so much fun. :o)

I started a fall dress tonight.  It is light weight jean material w/ pumkins embroidered on it.  I purchased 3 more materials to make more dresses.

One of them is marron w/ small roses on it.  I purchased enought of that to make a skirt for me too.  This was God who pushed me to get this material.  Because I purchased this material on Monday.  I spoke w/ my sister today and we are all planned to have family pictures in Dec.  My family, my sisters and my parents.  One big picture.  We found out that my Mom has chosen to do maroon as her color shirt for her and my father.  Well I am going to make these dress/skirt and Baby Bear and I will wear them in the family pictrue.  Isn't it great when God does that.  He knew that they would be perfect for this. :o)

I am also trying to finish Baby Bears Christmas stocking.  I make the felt stockings for each member of our family.  I choose only the biblical based theme not the santa or snowman ones.  Biggun has a Nativity Scene, I have a dove, Hubby has a candy cane, and Baby Bears will be an angel.  I will take a picture of all of them when I take out my Christmas decoartions.  But I also have to finish Baby Bears.  I am trying to do one piece each night.

On top of all that Biggun is still working on his Histry Fair project, Middle Ages Castle Model, Of course Mom is helping him w/ this.

WOW all those projects, whew I am tired just writing about all of it.  :o)

Keep all this in prayer.  I am depending on God to make time in my day to accomplish all of this.

Finished my first homemade dress.  Baby Bear wore it to chruch today.  Everyone liked it, only had one person make a silly comment about it.  But then Mr. J, always make silly comments.  He asked why I made it out of a pillow case.  I had to explain that it mas not a pillow case silly.  It was clearance material I wanted to make sure not to spend to much money on the first mistakes.  :o) Note in the first picture I made matching bloomers, too.

Tell me what you think.
