Sep. 20, 2006 - I've Decided...

Hello People...

Okay, I've decided that I would start writing on my "Lady Rachel" HSB blog, because, well, this one is  just getting a bit old.  I love this blog a lot though, because it contains so many memories and things.  I will still keep it, so I can look at some of my old posts and all...But remember, it's the same ol' me: all that will be different is the blog address, okay?  Haha!  Just remember to add "LadyRachel" to your friends list...

Okay, anyway, thank you for listening...Haha!

REMEMBER, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COMMENT ME, OR

ADD ME TO FRIENDS, PLEASE VISIT:

LADY RACHEL

Thanks!!!

Sep. 20, 2006 - Hello There...

Hello there!

Not much is really going on at my house.  I'm really tired from last night - I stayed up until 1:00am!  I just got so sidetracked on the computer... < Me, haha!

Yesterday, Amanda, Abigail & I got in the canoe.  It was nice and refreshing...Ahh!  I am going to have to catch up on school.  We are sort of struggling with that.  Well, at least, I am.  I am going to FORCE myself to finish everything and do it well.  We had a very lazy summer.  I don't know about you, but I absolutely detest lazy summers.  I would rather go on a trip around the world for a summer vacation sometimes, because when you just don't have anything to do, you get set in your ways.  Not that I sat around the house all day, I did plenty of extra stuff, but nothing fantastic happened.  I have no idea why I picked that emoticon...That one was random.  Haha!

Oh, and I made a "test" blog called "Lady Rachel" so that I could practice webdesign on it.  I almost like that name better than this one, since it is easy to remember.  I might someday switch to that one...

Well, bye for now...

God Bless,

~*Rachel*~

Sep. 18, 2006 - Ballet class for today & the ghost

I have no idea why I'm writing more again...I just feel like it!  Haha!   You're probably confused by the title of today's post.  Read on and find out...Anyway, I'm real excited about ballet today!  I am going to try to be a bit more outgoing than from last time.  I was just so nervous and too busy concentrating.  But I know that this time will be different.

Today we played hide & seek again, but something CREEPY happened.  Well, since I know you would like to know what happened I will tell you.  *Ahem*.  Wait, do you like Jell-O?  Okay, nevermind...Well, so, Joseph was "it", and Abigail, David & I had reached base.  Mary had not, and was still in hiding.  Since Joseph couldn't find her, I decided to help him out a bit.  Joseph discovered that Mary was in the bathroom, but she had locked the door.  (Which is illegal in hide-and- go- seek, as most of you know!)  Well, he couldn't get her out, so I decided I would.  (I'm very good at that, you know!)  I said, "MARY!  Joseph is after me, and I need to come in and hide with you!  Let me in!  Quick!!!!!!!!" And so, after that, I felt someone push down on the doorknob on the other side, and unlock the door.  I opened the door, and the light was out.  I turned on the light, and looked behind the door, and NOBODY was there!  For some odd reason, I looked in the cabinets, but of course, nobody was there.  I got freaked, and got out of the room fast and shut the door.  I turned around and Mary was BEHIND me.  Now, what do you think about that?  That was SCARY!  I can't figure it out...I do NOT believe in ghosts of course, but that was just CREEPY!  I KNOW someone touched that doorknob!  I could FEEL it!  Maybe it was a playful ghostie who likes to play with children...JK!   LOL!

Sep. 18, 2006 - What I've Been Doing Lately...

*Phew*...Yesterday was tiring!  We had our friends, the Maltass family over, and then our aunt, uncle and cousins.  As usual, everyone was rambunctious and crazy. Overall, we had a real great time though...We went to the hunting house and had a "war" from there, and it was real nice and breezy and it felt good...

Last night I played this funny hide & seek game with Joseph, Abigail, & Mary...We got quite wild.

Well, today I have BALLET!  It is my level IV classical ballet technique class.  I can't wait until I can get higher and go to the honors level.  But that will definitely be awhile...But it's always something to look forward too!

Well, GOD BLESS ALL!

Sep. 14, 2006 - Ballet Class

Since I haven't been on HB in awhile, I might as well give you all a rundown of my ballet class I had on Monday...

First off, it went really well, and I love the teacher, the studio, and the other girls there.  Like most would expect, I have a lot to catch up on, but my teacher has noticed that I still have very good technique and all, and that all I need to work on now is mainly my posture and all.  I got to stay there for like an extra 30 minutes by myself, because they had to go and work on a piece they are performing tomorrow, so it was nice to sort of get used to the new studio, and look around and practice and all.  I have another class today - it is contemporary, though.  (I'm more of a classical ballerina!)   But this will benefit me and help me to become more experienced.  (I like the sound of that...!)  Mmmm...I smell dinner cooking...Yummy!    HAHA!

Anyway, I think we're having company over on Saturday.  (My uncle, aunt and cousins...)

GOD BLESS,

~*Rachel*~

Sep. 10, 2006 - Today & Yesterday

Well, I might as well tell you what we are planning today, and then go into a few details about yesterday, too.  Alright, so this morning, my grandmother called and invited us all over for an early lunch.   YAY!  We are all planning on going over there and watching Eight Below. (We didn't get to finish watching that movie on my Dad's birthday, which was August 10th, which means that it has been exactly a MONTH since...)  Anyway, so that will be fun.  My Dad is going to play raquet ball or go to some weapons museum or something (I'm not entirely sure...) while my Mom drives us all to our grandparents.  (Our grandfather won't be there today though, since he has to go somewhere.)

Anyway, I'll tell you what we did yesterday, though!  Okay, we had some friends over, the Abbotts, and there are 2 boys and 1 girl in their family, and I mostly hung out with Joseph and the 2 boys, because there was nothing else to do, really.  Anyway, we played RuneScape, and some made up battle game, and then we went swimming and played a pirate game...LOL!  My Dad bought some little aquarium fish for Beth.  I believe two are mollies, and the 3rd one is like some sucker fish. (We are spoiling Beth after Friday's incident, aren't we?  Well, it was her birthday on the 30th, and so this is a late birthday present for her!)  We gave the Abbotts one of our dear kittens, Belle.  They will take care of her, I'm sure, but I can't help missing Belle!  She was a good, smart kitten, compaired to the rest.

I also finished watching the '95 Pride & Prejudice!  It is really good, and very true to the book.

Well, I believe that is about all...

  GOD BLESS,

~*RACHEL*~

Sep. 9, 2006 - THE SCARIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was one of the scariest days of my life - and I'm not kidding about that.  It started out real great.  We went on a field trip to a vineyard and learned about the different kinds of grapes they grow, and the things they can makes with them.  It was really fun.

Now you might be wondering how this is supposed to be the scariest day of my life.  Read on and find out...Well, when we got home, the first thing I did was watch some more of Pride & Prejudice, and then our grandparents arrived, and we ate dinner.  (They live less than 30 minutes away.)  After dinner, we went outside on the porch, and we talked and stuff.  Our next door neighbor was speeding down our drive way with a motorcycle, and so then all of us kids got distracted and ran down there to look for motorcycle tracks he left.  Nobody was watching Elizabeth, and she was by herself by the pool.  After a few minutes, my Mom began to wonder where she went, and we just assumed she was inside with Abigail.  By then, my grandparents were going to go home, and so we were about to say goodbye to them, when we all noticed little 2 year old Beth struggling in the pool!!!!!!!!!!!  (She was under water completely!)  My Mom (who was holding baby Ben) ran down the steps to the pool and grabbed Beth.  Little Beth choked up water, and looked very tired.  We tried to wake her up, but she was still very tired, sleepy and pale.  We had to shake her and make her cough up the water.  Then my Dad went and called 9-1-1.  All of us children were panicking, and beginning to cry as well as pray for little Bethy.  I ran down to the pond to seek seclusion and I prayed and prayed that everything would be okay.  By then, I couldn't hear what was going on, and it blocked out some of my sibling's screaming and crying.  My grandparents were still there, trying to help out.  (They hadn't had the chance to leave, and obviously had to stay.)  I heard cars and saw a red glaring light drive up our driveway.  By the time I came back up, it was darker, and there were 4 or 5 cars, and an abulance.  Several people got out of the cars and went inside.  I didn't dare go in, because I was too afraid to.  There were like 7 medics inside, and they were giving Beth some oxygen so she could breathe.  We still haven't discovered how Beth exactly fell in, or for that matter, how long she was in.  In the midst of all of this, my friend, Jillian called.  Amanda explained everything to her, and she and her family began praying for us.  I lingered outside with my grandfather and Joseph, Abigail & Mary, who were all in tears.  I kept asking my grandfather if Beth was okay, and he kept being optimistic, and so it encouraged me a bit, but everytime I saw an abulance or 9-1-1 car drive up, I got scared and panicked.  I kept on praying though.  After about 45 minutes, Beth was okay, and then the medics all left.  Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!  I was (and am!) so glad everything turned out okay.  I was glad when it was over with.  It was VERY distressing and scary.  NEVER leave a little child unattended like that.  It taught us a very valuable lesson.  And let this be a lesson also to those big brothers and sisters out there: watch out for your younger siblings.  It's dangerous if they are left alone, because they can get themselves into freak situations like Beth did.  If we had not noticed Elizabeth then, she would have died!

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with yall.

MAY GOD BLESS,

~*RACHEL*~

Sep. 6, 2006 - What's Been Going On Lately...

Well, let's see.  What have I been doing recently...Well, I did some ballet stretches yesterday, (man, they HURT!) caught up on some math (we've been doing that throughout the summer) and...Oh yes, yesterday I got the special edition "Pride & Prejudice" '95 version in the mail for a late birthday present from my friend, Annie.  She's real sweet!  I can't wait to watch it!  Hurray!   I have been dying to watch it, since I haven't had the chance to watch that version yet.  (Amanda has though, and she said it was really good!)  Oh yes, and we set up Abigail & Mary blogs on here. (2 of my sisters...)  Oh yeah, and for some of those boys out there (which I highly doubt will be reading this!) my brother, Joseph,  has a blog too.  (I just don't want to leave anyone out, ya know!)

Hmm...I believe that is all for right now.  I will be writing some more soon.

Well, may God bless all!

Sep. 4, 2006 - Labor Day...

Today is Labor Day!  Hurray!  Actually, we didn't really do anything today!  Haha!  I mean, other than just doing normal stuff, nothing spectacular happened.   Baby Ben has gotten so big.  I don't want him to grow up!   Waahhh!  He's...2 months old at the moment.

Well, some friends of ours are going to come visit on Saturday.  They want to see Ben (and us, of course.)  So, at least that is something to look forward to.

Last night we watched the Chronicles of Narnia with the actors' commentaries.  That was fun/cool.

Well, I guess I'm starting ballet classes on the 11th.  Oohh...That's a bit creepy, isn't it?   That reminds me, when I first STARTED taking dance lessons, it was the day before 9/11/01...Hmmm......I wonder if there's some connection... JUST KIDDING!

Well, I guess that is all I have to say for today.

BYE FOR NOW

God bless all!

Sep. 1, 2006 - Update on Ballet!

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!  I'll be starting ballet at this nice studio for good!  Yesterday, my Dad, Amanda & I went to go take three of our cats to the vet to get shots. (We have TEN cats at the moment!)  Anyway, after that, we went to check out the ballet place and it's really nice!  I got the chance to meet the teacher, and then she gave me some more information on the classes I'll be taking!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!  I'm SO glad that happened.  I mean, at first my Dad was hesitant about whether I should go to this place, because of the drive, but I'm SO glad that he's letting me go!  PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, the funniest thing happened on the way home!  Okay, so after we were leaving the ballet studio, Amanda decided to give the cats some water.  (It was getting hot, and the cats were in the carrier in the back of the car.)  So, she gave them some water, and then made sure the door and everything was closed.  When we started driving down the street, I noticed Mitzi, one of our cats, was standing right next to me.  "AMANDA!!!!!  A CAT!!!!" I said, and then my Dad (who doesn't like bringing animals in the car AT ALL!) pulled over, and we noticed that all 3 were loose in the van.  Then, the cat carrier fell apart, and there was water on us and the cats!  AAAAA!  I was trying to keep my ballet papers from being all messed up, and I was trying to herd the cats up too.  I started laughing so hard!  Amanda & I were climbing over seats chasing the cats, and my Dad was like, "GET THOSE CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Hahaha!  It was really funny!!!!!!!

WELL, BYE FOR NOW

GOD BLESS,

Why are all of the comments missing!?!?!?  I'm confused!  Why were they all deleted?  I didn't get to read them all.  I heard about them erasing all of the homeschoolbloggers that haven't been activated in a long while, but why the comments!? Hmmmmmmm...That is the question that haunts me.

Aug. 23, 2006 - BALLET!!!!!!!!

Today's blog is...

ALL ABOUT BALLET!

Okay, now that I have your attention, I might as well get to the POINTE.  Well, you see, I am going to be starting lessons again, and I am very, very, VERY excited!  I was upset last year with having to miss a year of ballet.  BUT, it taught me a very important lesson - It showed me how much I really liked ballet, and how I should stick with it.  Plus, it's given me a chance to study and prepare for ballet.  I have been doing stretches for ballet, and focusing on it so much.  I cannot WAIT to start again!  I think I might be taking at a place similar to my old ballet studio.  (A fine arts place, I think...!?)

Well, I just wanted to pass around the good news!!!!!!

GOD BLESS,

Today's my Dad's birthday.  We're going to have a surprise party for him at our Grandparent's house. (They only live 20 minutes away...) Except, he thinks we're just going out to eat.
Baby Benjamin has gotten so big!  He's gotten cuter too...Haha!

Aug. 9, 2006 - New Avatar!

I got a new avatar.  (Ha-ha!) It is a picture of the Bloch Axiom pointe shoe.  I really want those.  I have been dancing with Bloch Aspirations in the past (those are REALLY good pointe shoes for begginers, by the way, and I really love them!)  I hope I can dance with the Axioms this year...They look so pretty!  (Of course, pointe shoes don't stay pretty forever!)

Bye for now!

Aug. 7, 2006 - Ballet Lessons

I'm hoping to get ballet started for this year, since last year I didn't get to take on account of just moving in.  So, I've been looking around a lot on the internet for a place in a reasonable distance from our house.  I found one place a few days ago, and really considered it, and then I found another one, and really considered it, and now I just found ANOTHER place, and I'm really considering taking there.  I hope that wherever I end up going, that the teaching will be real good.  I have only had 4 1/2 years of experiance, and on my 2nd year @ the age of ten I started pointe.  (Fortunately, I was strong enough, and I never suffered any problems from starting early.)

Well, bye for now...

GOD BLESS,

Aug. 5, 2006 - To The Person That Said I Was A Dork...

I was looking at people who commented on my blog and I found someone who wrote (word for word of this!): "omg you are such a dork!! LOL old fashion like pararie girl dresses!!! EW!!! sensibly yeah right!!!"  Well, I just wanted to tell them that they could have left their rude thoughts to themselves, and yes, I am making an old fashion dress, but it's not like I wear old dresses all the time.  That doesn't make me "dork", and you should try to think before you write things like that.  Who knows.  The next persons' blog you come to and express your thoughts so openly, you might OFFEND someone. Please remember that next time. And NO, it was NOT a funny comment.  Don't think that just because you had "annonymous" on there would make it any better.  If you had the nerve to write that, why didn't you leave your NAME along with it?    "SHE OPENETH HER MOUTH WITH WISDOM; AND IN HER TONGUE IS THE LAW OF KINDNESS" Proverbs 31:26 ~  There are a hundered other Bible verses I could pull up right now, but I think that one says enough.  If I had said that to you, how would you have liked that?  Yeah...I thought so.  Anyway, sorry if I sound kind of mad, but the truth is,  I am.

GOD BLESS ALL, (Including the one that said that mean stuff to me...)

Jul. 24, 2006 - Sewing my own dress!

Yes, you read that right.  I, with the help of my grandmother, am sewing my own "Pride & Prejudice" dress.  My friend, Annie, showed Amanda and I this nice site that sells modest, old fashion dress patterns @ www.Sensibility.com and we might buy some of them.    I also am in the process of making some bandanas and scarves from some material my grandmother brought this beautiful afternoon...I have decided that I need to learn this handiwork stuff, so that when I'm grown, I can pass them on to someone else.  And that's how it all should be.

GOD BLESS,
