Sep. 8, 2007 - Sorry everyones!
Wow, I just realized I haven't been on hsb in a long time, so sorry! nothing much has been going on!
I got an 'anonymous' comment on my last post I found, here it is:
Why are you a goth? They are so depressing...even just to look at one thats not depressed. Snap out of it! Its pointless!! Read the bible!! Pictures like that should not be on Homeschoolblogger!!
And supposedly we are the one's who should change!! Well, first off, I'm not a goth, I'm not an emo, I'm not anything, its called being me. I'm not depressed, I have my sad days, who doesn't?? As a matter of fact, I do read the Bible, I read all of it before, over a course of a long time (obviosly, lol!) And I like these pictured because they artisticly express things that words cannot, it's beautiful and DIFFERENT ART, but that doesn't make it wrong!
Another thing, like I said, it was an anonymous comment, people only comment 'anonymous' because they're to afraid to put they're screen name. They'll tell you what you're doing 'wrong' but won't want you to retort them. They to scared is what I think, too afraid that I'm gonna say something back, which is exactly what I'd do if they had left they're screen name, but no, because they're to scared!
I think it's so horrible that people who are different get treated so bady and get judged so much. People who are different don't judge you because your different from them. (Okay, some do, but most people don't.) Yet we are the one's who get mistreated. YOu know, people put up walls like that not to block and scare people away, but to see what people actually climb over them to see the real you. Why would God make us all so different if he wanted us to be the same??
Well, okay, I'll stop gibbering on and on. I just hate those comments, you know?
ttyl!
Keep Being KooL!

Yeah, I found a comment like that on GothicPrincess blog. I really don't know what the problem is. It's not like we're all bible thumpers. I've never read the bible in my entire life (Well, that I can remember), but I'm still a good person. I just don't think what everyone else thinks.
I think we should all get together and post an entry about 'Anonymous', but maybe that's just the vengeful side of me.

I totally agree with you. Just because someone dresses a little different or has what some people would describe as "depressing pictures" on their blog doesn't mean their not a Christian. People are so judgemental these days that its hard to be yourself because they keep bringing you down. And everyone is always pressuring you into dressing and acting a certain way instead of being true to yourself.

Yeah so i found your blog a while ago, have been following it ever since, and decided to make my presence known.
I totally agree with you on this. It doesn't matter what we look like!
Being depressed isn't bad unless you're chronic, but from what I can tell, you aren't.
I got an anonymous comment on the blog my boyfriend and I share, totally slamming me and him because our posts weren't about God, just mostly about each other.
The person also slammed me for saying "inaproppriate" things about boys and my bf, like i had been talkign about "it" or something, which is ttly wrong. People like that annoy me!!!!!
So just so you know, I back you up 100%.
Live life to the fullest!!
Blessed Be

| Believe me, I understand. I get tired of all these girls saying "zomg I listen to Evanescence and wear black I'm so haarrrrrdcore" or "wow I shop at Zumiez and like hoodies duuude I'm a sk8er grrl!" Labels like "emo" are degrading and obnoxious, and I admire you for trying to stay outside the "crowd." :-D |

| I agree totally that you should be able to post your pictures and be yourself and its no-ones business but yours! The one thing I'd like to point out though, is that some people have to post as Anonymous. If you don't happen to have a blog at HSB, anonymous is the only way you can comment. |

Hey, I’ve been to your blog once or twice before, decided I’d leave a comment on this one.
I think you do have some very good points, but I also think should not come as a huge surprise that some one having first glanced at your side board pictures, and some things you say, that you would be labeled “emo” or ‘Goth”. Now please do not miss read this, I am not standing to the defense of this person, it is not right to make such a judgment without knowing hardly a thing about the person. God’s word was mentioned a few times in the comment, and in your response to the comment. The bible speaks explicitly against judging others; (I like a line from a country song “we’ll all be judged in the end.”)
You also mentioned something regarding “differences” Well, the Bible says, that the church is made of many members,
(1corithians 12:18)” 18But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 21The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" 22On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”
(1 Corinthians 12: 12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
So you are very right in your point about differences. God has made each of us different and given us all talents, and weaknesses, and our differences make up the body.
As you can read, but all of those differences, and talents are to be used strengthen, your brothers and sisters in Christ and wholly to the GLORY OF GOD. Diversity for the sake of diversity is not beneficial to anyone.
We are also told, (Romans 12:2) Not to conform to the image of this world,
(Philippians 2:15) 1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and “compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.”
(1 Corinthians 6:19) “19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own”
So as Christians we are to be ambassadors of Christ the way we talk, act, and dress, are crucial elements to that effect. I AM NOT criticizing or judging the way you act, or dress, that would be stupid, and hypocritical of me, for I DO NOT KNOW HARDLY A THING ABOUT YOU, only what you have said on your blog. And I have read. I DO NOT think that you’re emo. And I agree that it is wrong to judge others, especially some one you have never even seen, and having only read their blog, make a judgment. (all that to come that)
Phewww, that was a long comment.
