• Mar. 19, 2009 - just around the riverbend for me....

What I love most about rivers is: you can't step in the same river twice, the water's always changing, always flowing. But people, I guess, can't live like that...we all must pay a price; to be safe, we lose our chance of ever knowing what's around the riverbend. Waiting just around the riverbend.

I look once more just around the riverbend. Beyond the shore, where the gulls fly free. Don't know what for. What I dream the day might send jut around the riverbend for me.... coming for me.

I feel it there, beyond those trees, or right behind these waterfalls. Can I ignore that sound of distant drumming? For a handsome, sturdy husband who builds handsome, sturdy walls and never dreams that something might be coming? Just around the riverbend.....just around the riverbend....

I look once more just around the riverbend. Beyond the shore, somewhere past the sea. Don't know what for... Why do all my dreams extend just around the riverbend? Just around the riverbend ...

Should I choose the smoothest curve, steady as the beating drum? Should I marry Kocoum? Is all my dreaming at an end? Or do you still wait for me, Dream Giver....just around the riverbend?

• Mar. 19, 2009 - Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet by Stiff Dylans (this is my new all-time-favorite-song-in-the-whole-world):

She's a wave and she is breaking
She's a problem to solve
and in that circle she's making
I will always revolve

And on her sight
These eyes depend
Invisible and Indivisible

That fire you ignited
Good, bad and undecided
Burns when I stand beside it
Your light is ultraviolet

Visions so insane
Travel unraveling through my brain
Cold when I am denied it
Your light is ultraviolet
Ultraviolet

Now is a phase and it's changing
It's rotating us all
Thought we're safe but we're dangling
and it's too far to survive the fall

And this I know
It will not bend
Invisible and indivisible

That fire you ignited
Good, Bad and undecided
Burns when I stand beside it
Your light is ultraviolet

Visions so insane
Travel unraveling through my brain
Cold when I am denied it
Your light is ultraviolet,
ultraviolet

That fire you ignited
Good, Bad and undecided
Burns when I stand beside it
Your light is ultraviolet

Visions so insane
Travel unraveling through my brain
Cold when I am denied it
Your light is ultraviolet,
ultraviolet

Your light is ultraviolet

Visions so insane
Travel unraveling through my brain
Cold when I am denied it
Your light is ultraviolet
Ultraviolet

• Mar. 19, 2009 - Ignorance is...

True, ignorance is bliss....but it is also dangerous. Very dangerous. If you go out in the world not knowing you will probably die. And it won't be because of a natural death, no, it will be because someone killed you.

Last Wednesday my youth group and I watched a video on human trafficking and the sex trade. Sure, I already knew about it from overhearing bits and pieces of "adult conversations" and reading an article in National Geographic, we all do, right? Well, it's one thing to read about something that is summed up in four pages and three pictures in a grown-ups magazine which you think is only happening over in, like, India and China. It's a totally different thing to watch a video and learn that this stuff isn't only happening across the Atlantic, oh no, it's happening only thirty minutes away from your house....in your State capital city.

I used to go riding miles away from home on my bike, Elaine, in the afternoons - to get away - without anyone knowing where I was going. I didn't have a cell with me, my dog, or even protection. It was my idea of an adventure. I look back on that and wonder why parents let me do that. Just imagine what could've happened to me. A few months ago, I didn't really know. My parents were always saying that "I would understand when I was older" and that I just had to trust them because they knew what men thought and were capable of. It used to get on my nerves like no one knows. I thought, "Why do I have to grow up to know? I already do." I just thought they were being mental like all parents. Besides, I live out in the middle of nowhere, I practically know almost all my neighbors. Almost. Way safe, right? Right?? Yeah, sure, out in the middle of nowhere, just a girl, all alone, no protection whatsoever. Yeah, that sounds really safe. Let's just say I'm not going to be doing that anymore. Just like ignorance, freedom is bliss. But (and I'm going to sound like SUCH an adult right here (((*rolls eyes and sticks out tongue*))) it's also a responsibilty (uggg, that pretty much killed me). After someone goes missing, you only have 48 hours to find them, or the trail is lost. They could be in Peru for all you know. I never realized until last night, just how lucky I am to be alive.

Did you know that on average 300000 woman and girls will go missing this year? And that's just in India. Do you know on average how many out of that mass will be found alive? Did you also know that 60% of girls that runaway this year will be caught and sold into a living hell known as human trafficking or the sex trade? If you are in the sex trade you have to work six to seven days a week, twnty to thirty men a day. A. Day. Living hell is an understatement...I can't even imagine. Can you?

Well now you do know. So what are you going to do about it? That blissful ignorance is gone, you can't keep on pretending anymore.

• Mar. 17, 2009 - Blehhhh XP

I've been sitting here for ages trying to think of something "intelligent" to rant about. But I'm completely out of ideas:/  I'm watching this really hot guy in another window and I can't really concentrate on anything but his beautiful brown hair. *Drools* Sorry, I need a girl moment.......*you hear muffled squealing in background*......alright, I'm in my right mind again. Just forget that it ever happened, OK? Gosh, I swear, I'm completely braindead. Blah! : / I'm sorry. I give up. I'll write another post when I'm "inspired" OK?

• Mar. 16, 2009 - BlaH blah BLAH:/

OK, so my mum's making me do this so don't expect anything revolutionary or even exciting at best. Because when I'm forced into something all my flair and inspiration dies. But whatevs.

She wants me to write about St. Patrick's Day (cause isn't it tomorrow? ((Oh wait, it's TODAY...and I'm not wearing green! What the heck?! (((Anywho....)))))). So yeah....ummmm...well, forst off, you know Patrick's real name was Maywhensocket (I'm spelling it how it sounds cause I'm lost) && he was a major party hardy. Infact, he was taken captive while he was out partying. I think that's pretty funny. The dude's completely wasted and all of a sudden these pirates show up to ship him off to some barbaric-y country across the ocean. Talk about the morning after. X/

Do you think my mom will be satisfied with this? I hope so cause I'm out of things to write. I promise a flair-y inspired-y post tonight when my mum isn't forcing me into it.

   Always,

• Mar. 12, 2009 - Maybe I'm The One, mAybe I'm the One, maybe i'm thE one wHo is The Scizofrenic-psycho!

OK, I know the month is 12 days long, and I was supposed to start writing posts again the first but I've been so caught up in answering all my FaceBook stuff (and I'm not even going to get into my Yahoo! predicament!). So yeah, sorry. But I'm gonna do a rambling...er, I mean post right now. && it's gonna be so AWESOME it'll make up for it! X)

I've been thinking about that one quote by C.S. Lewis all month long. It's written on my wall next to my bed and I run it through my head everyday. You know, the one that goes like:

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the only probable explanation is that I was made for another world."

I don't think C. S. was only talking about Heaven. Now, don't think I'm a crazy/pscho/freak or nothing! I got some ground behind my theory. In the one of Shakespeare's (yes, SHAKESPEARE, thank you very much) books - I think it was Hamlet - it says, "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than imagined in the minds of man." Also in Quantum Mechanic Psychics it states that there might be "other world or dimensions in our universe."

OK, don't write be off to a mental instatute immediately, OK? Just think about it, what if there are other worlds out there? What if on each one there's the same people (so there'd be another me or you, for example) but they are each slightly different because they've each grown up in different circumstances and situations. How would you get to another dimension? Huh? I wanna know. I think C. S. Lewis && maybe even J. R. R. Tolkien knew. C. S. Lewis' Narnia books (I believe) were inspired from this theory. He took four regular kids on this world and threw them into another world and showed what they could be if they had grown up in those situations; kings and queens. How cool is that?

So what do you gusy think? I really want to know.

Always,

iNDiGO

• Feb. 16, 2009 - *Rolls Eyes*

Hey Bloggers, I know I'm supposed to be practically dead right now (OK, maybe that was just a little too dramatic. What I meant to say is, "I know that I'm not supposed to be on the computer right now, but....."), but my mom's making me Blog because it's President's Day.

She told me that I had to pick out a quote some president said && then I could either analyze or criticize it to my heart's content (no joke). So here goes:

"The truth is that all men having power ought to be mistrusted." -James Madison

Now, I don't really know that much about James Madison (infact, until about two seconds ago I didn't even know the guy existed!), but I do like this quote. And for a man ▬I admit it ▬ he has a pretty good head on his shoulders (&& that's a big deal since it's coming from moi ((I absolutely hate praising the opposite sex. (((Kidding! XD ((((Not really.)))))))))). OK, back to the subject before I sidetrack.....so, as I was saying.....this James Madison dude had a gift at observing and then stating his theories && observations in such a way that once heard is remembered && used afterwards for forever.

I admit it, I'm not really into the presidents, but I really like this guy.

Always,

I N D i G O

P.S. I would like to point out that in Jame's quote he said, "The truth is that all MEN having power ought to be mistrusted." he didn't say anything about WOMEN with power ought to be mistrusted. What?! I'm just sayin.' :)))))

• Jan. 20, 2009 - Musings From The Day........

Well, we have a new president. George W. Bush's last day as the most powerful man in the world is over && he && his wife, Mrs. Laura Bush, left in a colorful ceremony from our country's capitol, which has been something much more intimate to the Bush's for the past eight years. I guess a chapter in the honorable George W. Bush's life-story has ended && a new one is turned to && started afresh. We can only imagine what a let down it must be to be so powerful one moment && the next just a picture in a book. Hopefully we won't forget him soon.

Now, I'll admit that I am not for Obama. My only reason for this is because he's for abortion. Besides that he a good guy. && even though I don't really like him I am happy for him. Just imagine what he's had to go through to get to this. You know how when you are little your parents tell you that you can be anything, even the president of the US of A? Well, that happened to Mr. Obama (Mr. Barack just sounds too weird), he really was at the lowest of lows, but he overcame that && I do respect him for that. Even if we don't all agree with him or maybe like him we must see what an inspiration he is. He really does prove that anything can happen in our beautiful country. We can && will be whatever we want to be here.

So those are my musings from the day. God bless George W. Bush (who I think was an excellent president), the Obamas, && God bless America.

• Jan. 17, 2009 - Rawr!

OK, let's be honest here, I'm sure we've all felt this way before (I know I've felt it more then is probably good towards my little crazy sis!). OK, now that we admitted that let's admit some more. The deep truth is that we actually enjoy being like this. Say, if we have to be miserable because we had hamster chow (aka gronala cereal ((yuck!))) for breakfast && our coffee burned our tongue && someone got the last seat on the subway then we won't everone else to be miserable with us. We absolutely D E L i G H T in ruining everyone else's day (what? You don't? Well I do at least!). Alright, I think we've dished out enough for one post, don't you think? So let's justify this a bit. No one's perfect (I know that's the oldest saying in the book but whatevs), right?? No one is or would want to be happy-go-lucky little-miss-sunshine 24/7. Even smilies need the day off for PMSing once in awhile. So we can't help it. We've established that. So why am I sayin' it??! *Slaps forehead*

   ............

...wait, what was my point again?? Ugh! I've forgotten it! Geez, and I'm not even a blond (maybe my brunette roots aren't all the way?) Oh well. I think I was going to eventually get at that we all like being grumpy, we all are grumpy, to get over people that are grumpy, and that little blue monsters are so adorable! (What?)

Always,

Goodness, you guys are going to think I'm such the split personality after you read this entry. I'm not by-polar or nothing, I just get ADD with my emotions. Stay the same feeling for too long and it gets incredibley dull. Plus the weather has a big role in the way I feel, and you KNOW how changing the weather is. See? That's why marriage is NOT for little ol' moi, marriage is too committing. The only things I ever committed and commit myself to were my Hamster, my besties, and my online socail life. Everything else is just wooh. You know. Wait, how did we get on the subject of matrimony? Ugh, this just goes to show how completely random I am! Grr!

Oh shoot, I've forgotten what I was writing this Blog post about in the first place! My, I've never seen such a scatter-brained girl as myself. Oh well. These scribbles will just have to do for today.

• Jan. 10, 2009 - The New Year Is Leaving Me Behind

The year has just begun (come on, it's only 9 days old) and yet so much has happened and so much is gone. The gruff dog down the street, the swing-set I learned to love, and my best friend. No, I didn't move, she did. There was three months, and somehow they ended. And now she's gone...and when it used to only take me 20 minutes on my bike to see her, it now takes 2 hours. She lives in another county, so it's long distant to call. It's only temporary, but where will she go after that? I can't believe she's really gone....

• Dec. 29, 2008 - Gah!

Gah! I haven't blogged decently in forEVER! OK, so maybe this would be a good time to test this idea I found on my mum's blog out. Alright, here's the deal - and pay attention! Gosh! I'm going to do a review of this year's blog posts. That means that I'll take the first paragraph from the first blog post of each month. So here goes:

January:

Merry Christmas to all. I hope ya'll all had a wonderful Christmas, I sure did. Gotta go,

A very jolly,

Diamond

Febraury:

Dear Blog...yesterday we got back from Africa. The trip was amazing! I can't even begin to describe how life changing it was to go to a third world country. I'm still not sure about everything but I do know that I am going back and that I am going to find a way to help the people I met.

March:

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

April:

Yeah I know, you're thinking 'we don't care about your favourite things!' (unless your like me and like looking at people's favourite things, but I haven't found anyone just like me yet) and you know the only reason I still do this is to annoy you. So sit back and enjoy (though I doubt you will):

May:

You know what I think is soooooooooooooooooo wierd/wrong? How we call men Ladybugs Ladybugs even though their MEN! What is up with that? Apparently the person that named Ladybugs Ladybugs was a feminist, or she didn't think how humiliating it must be for all the men Ladybugs to be called Ladybug. Why didn't they name it a Polkadotbug?

June:

I just heard on the radio while I was unloading the dishdrainer that in Ohio the police busted a man with a lot of weed and when they told him he had the right to remain silent he said, 'come on bro, that's for my compost. I don't smoke it!' how stupid was this guy anyway? Honestly! And then there were these two Buddist guys in Arizona who took a vow to never be more than fifteen feet apart! Oh my cheese! That's horrible.

July:

exactly five days ago people all across our purple mountains majesty coutry celebrated 232 years of freedom, american-style. i wonder if back in 1776 our four fathers imagined that we would be this free for this long. god has been very kind to us to allow us to be this prosperous for so long. i just pray and hope that it will last for many years to come. after all, we need to think about our kids.

August:

OK, what's with all the veagans and vegetarians for goodness sakes? Most of them aren't even doing it for the animals! If you're going to give up meat you need a reason. What's most people's reason? Well, for some they do it because when they see antlers they see Bambi.

September:

INCREASE THE PEACE! with me. OK? Alright, here are five tips on how to increase peace:

  1. If someone slaps you, DON'T turn your cheek. Throw them off a cliff. Therefore decreasing slaps, therefore increasing the peace!

October:

OK, this is the most stupidest story you will EVER hear! (Yes, it's even worse than the Indiana Jones episode.):

Dear Diary,                [I was either eleven or ten when I wrote this]

it's March 20th, the first day of spring. Also, I got to start shaving today! Big deal, of course. The only problem is that I shaved my right arm after I got through with my legs. Mum called me downstairs to do someting for her beforte I could start on the left arm. While I was down I showed her what a great first time shaving job I did. I also showed her my now smooth, completely hairless right with pride. At least, I was proud of it before she shrieked and then fell into a fits of hysterics. Later, when she got control of herself, I was informed that you did NOT shave your arms.

November:

Yes, today is Internation Culture Day (don't ask me what you're supposed to do on this day, I don't know!). And oh yes, the 1st of November was Vinegar Day - once again I ask myself, "Who bloomin' comes up with this stuff?!!".

December:

.....I'm such a bad Blogger 'cuz I haven't just posted an entry about what's going on lately. Do you think the guys in charge of HomeschoolBlogger will come and find me and shoot out my tongue? • Dec. 24, 2008 - Christmas' Guesses

This morning I was teasing my little brother by giving him impossible-to-guess hints as to what I was giving the little monster tomorrow.

"Ple-eeeeeease?!?!?" He begged.

"It's about this tall," I held my hands about five inches apart.

"A Littles Pet Shop thing!" He practically screamed.

"Ummmm....no."

He was disappointed. "Give me ONE more! Please?"

"OK, OK. It won't last long." I said this because his gift is a chocolate snowman. Yeah, my lil bro was gonna have that thing devoured in record time.

"Ummmmmm....... I know! A pet!" Yeah, he really meant it.

"No."

Trust me, if you MET my little brother you wouldn't have a very hard time imagining him on accident (of course) killing off some helpless stray kitten. So glad I got him the chocolate snowman instead of the pet grasshopper he wanted.

Merry (ALMOST) Christmas guys, and I hope you have a happy new year. I'm crossing my fingers.

• Dec. 16, 2008 - Hmmmmmm......What Can I Say??

Well, I think the title says it all. I think this is going to be on of those rambling posts where I mention anything that comes to mind and then I spend forEVER obsessing over each. No, I don't expect you to make it through the whole I thing, I doubt I will.

Love: Well, I think I should first off tell you that I am a matchmaker. Yes, I'm also a hopeless romantic and I think that love is the most wonderful and awesomnest thing in the WORLD. But, I personally don't think it's for me. First off, I can't even hold a guys hand with a straight. What if he has clammy palms? EW! Also, I got this dream that God gave me that right now, doesn't (and I don't think ever will) involve a man. Yeah. not ALL boy are stupid and I'm sure there are at least three people out there who would be perfectly fine. I just don't wanna get married. Plus, the other day I saw a cloud through the haze that resembled the Virgin Mary. I took this as a sign from above that I would NEVER lose my virginity. I think I'm relieved. I know, I know, I'm weirder than strange.

Girls: Yes, I am one but that doesn't mean I won't diss on our sex. I actually think it is easier to have GUY friends than GIRLfriends. Girls will turn on you over a boy anyday. They also have HUMONGOUS mouths (I have one too, but its genetics ((I can't help it!))), boys don't usually go around telling everyone in the district who you like or about the time you peed all in your pants at the cinema. And furthermore boys aren't as dramatic. They won't end a friendship just because their best bud wouldn't give them back there favorite sleeping t-shirt - ahem! Cough Cough, Lillie! Yeah, I absolutely LOVE my girlfriends, but I'm just sayin' that it's easier to be friends with boys (unless the guy gets a major crush on you. Cough cough.)

Bikinis: OK, I don't mind when OTHER girls wear 'em (excpet around my best friend, Noah!) but I just can't STAND the things with a passion! Tankinis are more of my thing, aren't as revolting as one-piecers but not as....as.....you know what!.....like bikinis. I just can't STAND to show off that much skin, I feel so vulnerable and exposed, it scares me! But, I think my personal favorites are the old vintage one-piecers. Soooooo pretty!:)

Pittbulls: I love these dogs! They are SO sweet and stupid how could you not??!?!?! My bestie, inthismoment95, has a dream to one day own a shelter for homeless pittbulls and bulldogs (now THAT'S cool!).

Frogs && Fairies: I do believe in fairies, I do, I DO! I can't help it, I LOVE fairies! How can someone NOT believe in them? OK, now that I've made a hopeless DORK out of myself let's talk about frogs. Frogs are awesome all the way. Infact, I'm getting one this Christmas along with the hedgehog and bike. I'm going to name him Gogu and train him to sit on my shoulder. I'll take him EVERYWHERE with me (he'll stay in my pocket), and he'll live right next to my bed. I hope my parents choose which frog to get wisely because he's the only prince that I'm going to have.

I think I've rambled enough, plus, I'm running out of pc time. So I;m going to bid you all "adieu!"

About Me

Hey, I know that my title & blog might've given you the impression that I may be just a little crazy, but you're right. I am! But all the weird looks & comments I get are worth it becasue I'm living my days like they're my last & my life to its complete fullest. I'm going to record it all, right here. Because someday when I'm like 97 & I'm sitting in a rusty wheelchair in a Nursing Home bored almost to my grave that I'll enjoy looking at these posts that I wrote when I actually didn't have wrinkles on my wrinkles! I hope you enjoy it & that I don't scare you too bad.
