Drop of Honey

• May. 17, 2006 - A first for me.....

"Pingo do mel" - drop of honey in Portuguese - that is what I hope to leave here.

Honey is sweet and overall good for you - may it be so with my blog!

Three boys in three years has taught me much about myself!  Not so much my good points.......but the Lord is gracious and patient and I am blessed to be on this journey with Him!

Homeschooling has only just begun for us and what a privilege!  The verse that kind of sums up my "new" career is found in Zecharia 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty!"  NIV

May I remember this on days when it seems that everything is hard as well as sunny easy days!  I need God every step!

I had three girls in four years so I'm there with you. But I'm retired from home teaching and all I have to say is this: You will survive! God is incredibly faithful no matter how difficult life gets and looking back I do NOT regret our decision to home teach. I'll pray for you.

I was happy to see your note on my site. You can ask me any questions you wish. I can't promise I'll have all the answers but I'll try my best. I just noticed you're learning Portugese. My daughter wants to learn it as well because her husband is of Portugese descent (3rd generation) and they want their children to speak it at home. Got any suggestions on curriculum?

I'll have to find out which Portugese my son-in-law is. I'll maybe look into a CD for Christmas for them. That would mean I'd need to learn it too so I can understand what grandchildren will say. By the way, I love the picture of your lilacs. I can almost smell them.
