Chapter 1

It was a hot and sticky afternoon. There was no sign of wind and rain for miles around. Other Than the occasional chirp of a bird, all was quiet.

Or was it? A new sound broke out from the side of a high-tech cottage. It was a sound most people recognise. Someone sawing logs. In his seep. The snoring belonged to 35 year old Zoltan Ranger.

His tall body barely fit into the deck-chair he was lying in. His hat had fallen off his face, revealing army-cut black hair. It was impossible to tell what colour his eyes were with his eyes closed.

Suddenly, his mobile phone started ringing. The phone was no more than a camera attached to a speaker, with a liquid crystal display (l.c.d.) on the side. Zoltan mumbled and rolled over, only to come crashing down off the side of the deck chair.

He landed on his hamburger which  -he remembered- he had thoughtfully put beside the deck-chair. Meat and cheese squirted onto his shirt. Fully awake now, he reached for his phone which, he couldn’t help noticing, had been pointing at him the whole time.

Zoltan pointed the camera directly at his face.

“Hello?” he said.

Suddenly the person on the other end burst out laughing. Zoltan didn’t see what was funny.  He tried to scrape off some of the melted cheese that had stuck on his shirt, but only succeeded in spreading it over his stomach.

He gave it up and frowned into the video lens. he trusted the phone would relay the image of his frowning  face to his friend Zayden, wherever he was.

Zayden had blond hair, which was always combed down flat, making his head look more like a soccer ball than any thing else. He was two years younger than Zoltan and a good half foot shorter. Once Zoltan had asked Zayden why he never had a trace of a beard, to which Zayden replied “my beard doesn’t grow”. But on further investigation, Zoltan found two solar-powered shavers.

Zayden stopped laughing “I really shouldn’t be laughing now, you know”

“No, you shouldn’t”

He ignored Zoltan's comment “I’ve just heard some shocking news!”

I appear to have lost the fourth addition of the Zap Man comics. However, As soon as I find it, I'll post it. You should go to the Quad Guys blog (http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/quadguys/). I'm one of the four people who own it. I can't think of anything else to write so bye.

Monster trucks

Monster trucks arn't trucks really. They're more like pick-ups with gigantic wheels. They have powerfull engines that use up three liters of methenol (special fule) per 75 meters. They can jump up to 9 meters. And they can crush whole trucks. These monsters on wheels generaly have a tough sounding nave and are custermized to match it. e.g. the Samson has huge muclely arms on each side of the hood. It can cost up to 2000$ to paint a monster truck, and each wheel costs about 1000$. The drivers are clad from head to foot in protective gear, and there are several safty fetures on each car. They (the monster trucks) travle in eighteen-wheelers from venue to venue. The worlds youngest driver is only fourteen years old. Wow.

Updatey thingymajig

Hi... I havn't done an entrie for a while... anyway, some friends came over today. I had my birthday a litle while ago, and I got juggling clubs, a juggling book and a camping set. Here's somthing else:

Here is comic 3. Comment on my entries and I'll comment on yours.

Juggling

Fact: I like juggling. It's fun, it's easy, it attracts atention. Everyone can juggle if they want to, it's just that most people think they can't. YOU might think that YOU can't but thats a lie lie lie. Now go on and grab three balls.

1. hold #1 in your right hand (or left, if you're left handed) and throw it into your left.(or right). Now throw the ball back from your left hand to your right. Repeat this procedure ten times.

2. Add another ball. Throw up #1. When it peaks (reaches it's highest point), throw #2. You should be catching #1 when #2 peaks. You might not be able to catch the balls, but don't worry. Just keep practicing and it will come.

3. Now add the third ball. Throw the #1 and #2 like you did before, exept when #2 peaks, throw #3. If all this sounds to complicated, look at the diagrams. If you still can't do it, comment a question and I'll try and solve it. Failing that, type 'juggling' on google or yahoo and press enter.

Making Animation

If you ever wanted to make a animation but didn't know how, READ THIS:

First, you'll need to buy a webcam(they cost about 60$) and get your hands on a animation software. (try MonkeyJam. It's free and pretty good). Now all you need to do is find somthing to animate. I use lego bricks, because it's easey to make sets with and the mini-figs are fairly flexable.

After you have installed the software and webcam, Get the props and sets set up. If your making a lengthy movie, Make sure you have a script and so on or everything will be a flop. When your ready, point the camera at the object your going to animate and take a picture. Move the object and Take another picture. (NOTE: make sure your hands are OUT of the picture when you shoot the frame). Continue doing this until you have moved the oject the requiered distance. Preview the clip to make sure you have got everything right. Now export the movie as a window media file. Exit the animation program. If you have windows XP then you should have Windows Movie Maker on your computer. If not, It can be downloaded from the web.

Open Window Movie Maker. Import the clip/s and click and drag them to the timeline. Press play... My big sister is forcing me away so I'll have to go. I'll deal with her severely.

Comic 2

Here is the second ZapMan comic. The first frame shows Zapman beating up a couple of thugs, But they have no part in the story, so don't worry about them.

I'm going to say somthing about myself.
