I am now in 6th grade and I can't wait to go to Church! I have moved from the 4th and 5th graders class to a whole new building in the lot there! They have a gameroom a worship center and small group rooms. I will be in this class till I come to the big worship center with my mom and dad! I have been going to this class for about a month now and can't wait till next time!

Indigo Bunting

Guess what? We saw a male Indigo Bunting at our feeders. I can't believe I saw it! The cool part is I got some really good photos! We have rocks around our feeders and it was right on the rocks! The boy Indigo Bunting is a blue bird, well it is not really blue it is really black but the sunlight makes it look blue. We saw the female too she is brown! Wildflower Walk

Tonight we went on a wildflower walk. We went to some of the fields by our house. We found all kinds of flowers. I am not going to tell what thay are until the photos. Well, we went outside at about 7:30 pm and we stayed outside until at least 8:30 and then we identified all the flowers. We love to do things about nature, like taking walks, and bird watching, and all kinds of stuff to do with nature. I have always wondered what you do for nature?

Northern Cardinal

Hi,

Spiderwick ~ A Movie Review

I went to see Spiderwick the movie on the 23rd with my Mom, Dad, and my brother! It was a great movie! Kids under the age of 7 could get scared pretty easy . I am 11 and I loved it!!!! I can't watch a movie without action, I will fall asleep! It is about three kids, Jared, Mallory, and Simon. They discover a book (Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Fantastical World World Around You), and if you open it, it will unlock this secret world! Jared opened the book and he started to hear a loud monster! There is goblins, boggarts, and evil creatures, but the worst is Mulgarath, the oger! But there are some good creatures (like faries, brownies, pixies, wood elfs, and griffins. I will rate the movie 10 out of 10 stars!

Can't wait until it comes out on DVD, so I can get it!

Dinner time!

I made dinner tonight! I made beef stir fry. (mmmmmmm) It took a little time to make. but I did it. Below are some pictures. If you want to see some pictures of rainbows click HERE.

Time to cut some veggies. I used carrots, onion, garlic, red bell pepper, celery, and broccoli.

Fashion Designing Kit

Another Cookie Recipe to Share

Scottish Whipped Shortbread

1lb. butter, softened
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup corn starch
3 cups of pre-sift all purpose white flour
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Cherries to decorate

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Cream butter. Sift sugar, starch and flour together. Add to butter with vanilla. Beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy . It takes about 5 minutes to reach the consistency of whipping cream.

Drop by teaspoon full on parchment lined cookie sheets and decorate with 1/8 of a red or green cherry, well drained and patted dry. Bake for 15 minutes, do not allow to brown. They will expand slightly, look dry and be lightly golden around the edges. Remove to cooling racks. (note: we didn't use the cherries)

These are cookies are so good! We made them for Christmas.

More Yummy Cookies

Today I made more cookies, all on my own! They are so good! Here is the recipe:

Austrian Chocolate Cookies

2 squares of semi-sweet chocolate

1/3 c butter

1 c white sugar

1 egg + 1 yolk

1 t. vanilla

1 1/2 c. flour

1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped (I used walnuts)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees! In a medium saucepan, melt together chocolate squares and butter over low heat. When fully melted, remove from heat and add sugar, egg, vanilla, flour, and nuts. Mix well. If too moist, add additional flour until able to handle. Shape into 1/2" balls. Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-11 minutes, until firm to touch. Remove cookies immediately from cookie sheet and place on a cooling rack. When fully cooled, dip half of the cookie in the glaze and place on waxed paper to set up. Store in a airtight container with wax paper between layers. These will keep longer in the refrigerator (and taste even better cold!).

Chocolate Fudge Glaze

1 square of semi sweet chocolate

1 T. butter

1 t. vanilla

1 c. powered sugar

3 T. milk

In medium saucepan, over low heat, melt together square of chocolate and butter. Remove from heat and add vanilla, powdered sugar and milk. Blend well. Return to a low heat to keep thinner while dipping cookies!

Don't feel good

Today has not been a good day for me!! I have felt sick all day!!Well it started in the morning. I got out of bed and felt dizzy. And then I felt sick to my stomach! My throat felt itchy. And I was tired all day!So I have not done much today other than school, play with sissy, and play Star Wars! O yeah I watched Wonder Woman (Justice League) too! Well I feel a lot better right now, and I hope that it stays that way!!! Well I have to go! Bye,

Christmas Baking Fun

On Friday me, my Grandma, my Grandpa, my dad, my mom, and my friend Grace all made a gingerbread house! We hade fun! It took 2 days to make, but we did it!! The best part was decorating it!!!!

This is the gingerbread house we made.

Today we made Christmas cookies! I made them all on my own (my mom helped with cutting them). We made sugar cookies, Preparkakor (which are a Swedish Christmas cookie), and sandtarts! We had fun!!!! We spent at least 4 hours doing it.But we did it!

Wonder Woman

If you are wondering who Wonder Woman is, well you are about to find out!!

She is a major super hero!!!! She has super strength!!!! She can lift 10 men with 1 hand and she can fly in an invisible airplane!!! She is part of the Justice League (that is a bunch a of heroes teamed up). She is very nice and gentlehearted, but not in a fight (POW!!) SHE IS SO COOL!!! (SHE IS ON MY AVATAR).

Our Christmas Tree

Hey everyone,

It is now 30 more days till Christmas and I can't wait!! We went to a store and bought a real Christmas tree and we put it up in our living room, (it looks great). I will have some pictures on this blog entry. On the day that we wake up on Christmas eve my dad will start the fireplace, it is wood burning fireplace. It is so cool!! We put out cookies and a carrot for the reindeer. There is a nibble in it or more in the morning!

we went to see a movie

On the 17th we saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It was ok. They could have put a little more detail in it. Over all it was great. It was about a magic toy store where all the toys were alive. Hey if I tell any more you will know the whole movie. We went to the movie theater to watch it and we had popcorn and soda pop. (mmmmmmmmmmm)

Penny, my guinea pig

I have a guinea pig, her name is Penny. She is about 6 months old. She is so sweet! She will come up to your face and lick it (it tickles he he he). She is light brown, dark brown, and white. She would not bite at all. We got her from Petsmart. It's a store for animals. You can buy fish, guinea pigs, birds, and mice. All the guinea pigs were girls which is what I wanted. (he he he)

The movie

On Saturday me, my brother, and my dad went to a movie. It was called The Seeker. It was the best movie I have seen in a long time. The movie was about a boy, and it was his 14th birthday. That was the time he became The Seeker. He had to find 6 signs. Ooooooo it was so cool, you have to see it someday.

My field trip

We went on a field trip not too long ago on September 14. It was so fun. Me and my friends Katy, Brooke,and Grace had a blast. They have a big big slide. It was so fast when you went down, I went head first (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh). We went to Evans Orchard. They had a lot of apples and my Mom bought some. When we got home we ate some apples(mmmmmmmmmmm), they were so good!

My day

Well, today I had to do school and I got done at 11:00. I normally get done at 3:00 or 4:00 o'clock. My grandma came over and is stil here. Her and I had fun. We did scrapbooking, that was fun. I have a old picture of me and my friends, we all dressed up and the boys were all pretty and sparkly (they look like girls) it is so funny! That is my favorite picture. (HA HA HA HA) I can't stop laughing about it. That's all for today, bye.

My week

My week has been so cool. We went to my aunt's house. They have a big pond and we went swimming in it . That night we hade a huge bonfire. We had smores (mmmmm), they were so good. I have pictures of that night. They have a telescope. We looked at the moon, it was so cool.

Friends Over Today

Sorry I didn't do a entry yesterday. I was very busy. We were out shopping till 3:00 and I was to tired. But today we had friends over to play at 12:30 that stayed till 5:00. We played house and town, we played outside, we had ice cream too. It was a lot of fun .
