I was in the city spelling bee in 6th grade. Oh, and my maiden name was a food, and my married name is another food. I was a foster child growing up, yet I was a National Merit finalist and a great student and really an overall good kid (compared to most people's views of foster kids). I am a member of Rho Chi (pharmacy school honor society) and I graduated with honors from pharmacy school, so I guess I did all right, with God's help. Also, I went to a math & science residential public school for my junior & senior years of high school, but when I went to college, I started out majoring in communications, thinking I wanted to be a journalist. I thank my Lord that my foster dad steered me into pharmacy as it has been a great field for me and was something I would never have considered. |
