I think what you are doing here is TERRIFIC. You should submit this to the carnival of homeschooling....I'll email Tami. I think a lot of homeschool moms would want to join.
Hi. This is my first time here, but saw this question and thought I'd add my 2 cents worth :-). I live in New Zealand, where I homeschool our 5 children, ages 6-14. We've homeschooled since the eldest was small, though some of them were in a small Christian school for a year and a half at one point. Homeschooling in NZ is good - we have a lot of freedom here. Homeschooling is a fast growing trend. IN order to homeschool, we have to apply to the govt for an "exemption" from the law that says all children between the ages of 6 and 16 must be enrolled in and attending a registered school. In order to get the exemption, we have to satisfy the govt that our children will be educated "at least as regularly and as well as in a registered school", though that is open to interpretation. Once we have an exemption, there are no requirements, apart from a possible occasional review to ensure that we are still teaching regularly and well. They even pay us and optional allowance for homeschooling our children :-). I love homeschooling my children, learning with them, and having the freedom to explore topics or areas of interest alongside them. If anyone wants more info on homeschooling in NZ, they can email me at robandcindy@actrix.co.nz, or check out my Yahoo group for Christian Homeschoolers who use Flylady's principles - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HomeschoolersFLYingInChrist/
Oh, and I heard about this site from Amy's Clean Heart Clean Home Challenge Blog at Dandelion Seeds.
I was looking for a web blog that talked about the schwarzbein principle when I found your Blog. I thought it was great to find a homeschooling moms sight:)
I am also homeschooling 3 kids ages 12-17 and trying to loose weight.
Nice sight:)
