I wanted to share a post that one of our Blubber Blogger members shared on our email support loop. I thought that it would be meaningful and helpful for many of you who read our blog and aren't a part of our support loop. If you find this kind of help and encouragement is something you would like to be a part of, you can sign up for our email support group over on the sidebar of our blog. Blessings to all, Kathy
Hey
ladies,
Just wanted to give you a sloggy day report. I woke up in an
unmotivated, cranky mood. I did NOT want to drink any water. I did NOT want to
walk. I did NOT want to eat healthy.
I grudgingly started to walk a 2
mile workout, resenting every minute. My 3 year old got into some math
manipulatives during the early part and I had to go rescue them, and was so
grumpy that I just quit walking.
My wonderful friend Christine badgered
me in love until I grudgingly drank a little water.
Eventually I had a
2nd cup of coffee I think I was in early caffeine withdrawal, which for me
includes some major discouragement and lack of motivation, as well as headaches
and fatigue and started to feel better.
By this evening I had finished
my 8 cups of water AND decided to go for a walk with the children. I did 2 miles
in 45 minutes, which isnt really brisk but I was pushing at least 50 lbs of
children in a heavy double-stroller AND carrying 20 lbs of infant in the
backpack, so Im calling it moderate exercise. AND Ive managed to stay within
my points allotment today.
So what my point in sharing this with
you?
We wont always feel like it. BUT if we surround ourselves with
loving encouragement, and are tied in to some helpful programs/plans/support
groups to give us goals and guidelines, we CAN press on, by Gods grace, even in
those bad, sloggy days. None of today has been easy for me, but now that its
getting near bedtime I can say Im glad I stuck with it, chose to drink my water
and eat healthy.
But I sure hope tomorrow is better, LOL!!!
I
do need to learn to cry out to God more, rely on Him more, instead on on myself
and my moods. I am so thankful that He is gracious and merciful to
me!!!
