Jun. 2, 2008 - Wow! What a Promise!

One of my favorite verses is is Isaiah 41:10.

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

I think the biggest reason why I like this verse is because of the promise it has in it.

I am with you.

I am your God.

I will strengthen you.

I will help you.

I will uphold you.

See a pattern there. God does not say, "Well I'll be with you, but only if you..."

"I'll be with you if the sun is shinning, but as soon as it starts to rain, I'm out of here."

"I might give you strength, I'm not sure though."

HE WILL! He IS my God! He WILL help me, and the sentence ends there. That's it. He WILL uphold me.

That promise means so much to me.

I love verses that will comfort me in ANY circumstance. Our God is a great God and will be with us...just saying that makes me bust with happiness.
