Jul. 29, 2008 - The Color Green

Realizing I had not posted for awhile I searched my puny little brain for something to post about.

I finally decided on the color green. No really, I'm going to write a whole post about green.

To start with I'll have to get you strait on one thing, my favorite color is not blue. I know the title of the blog is Out of the Blue, I am Bluejane and my blogs base color is blue. The reason for this is simple because my family often describe my as out of the blue. A lot of the times after I say something they will all just look at me and say, "well that was out of the blue."

I guess I should move on now before this whole post turns out to be about blue.

As you may have guessed by now. My favorite color is green. It has been for a long time. I think I first decided green was my favorite color when we went to visit my Aunt in the valley. The valley is a very green place. The whole place is simple covered in green because plants our everywhere.

I think before this my favorite color was yellow, probably because that's my Dads favorite color and I wanted to be just like him.

It's funny, if you take the color people describe me as (blue) and mix it with my old favorite color, (yellow) you get green. My favorite color now. How interesting.

Now more about the color green. To read about what Wikipedia has to say about green go HERE.

You can live in the city of Green.

There is even a rock band called The Color Green.

According to the Sensational Color website this is how the color green effects you.
1) It soothes you.
2) Relaxes you mentally as well as physically.
3) It helps to alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety.
4) Offers a sense of renewal, self-control, and harmony.

In my opinion that's all hog wash. I have never felt soothed while looking at the color green, I am hardly ever relaxed mentally, or physically. I must admit I have very little self-control.

Anyway, I've got to bring this post to an end as I've got some things that need done, but please, let me know what your favorite color is!

Oh man, this was a funny post! I loved it. Actually, my favourite colours are Blue and Yellow, but I also like Purple, and a light pastel Pink. A dark mix of Red, a Maroon. Basically the whole Rainbow. But that is funny how it's Blue and Yellow mixed together to make the Colour Green. :)

Glad you enjoyed my daybook. I hope you will do it, it's very fun. A little bit of everything I think. Oh, yes, he/she (still don't know which) was so adorable. But I had to let Carrots loose to get Daisy. Out of the Blue, ;) Mom told me to let him and Buggs, the other one we found, out in the corn fields. Much to my dismay, I did. But then Dad brought a box home and Mom told me to go and help him carry it in. It had a white and black rabbit in it - Daisy. :) But yes, he was so cute when he was just a teeny baby. No bigger than a tennis ball.

I am always happy to hear from you too! Love comments from you!
Love,
Rachel

Hi!

My favorite color is green too. It always has been:-)

Hello,

I would love to knit, but I never quite learned how. I do enjoy crocheting though, it always makes me feel like I am actually accomplishing something when I'm watching a movie and so on:-)

I would like to invite you to join my new blog "Discussions with a Purpose". If you are interested please come visit the blog and help spread the word by posting about it on your blog and/or putting the icon on your sidebar. I would be very honored if you would join us!

God bless,
Arya

My favourite color is deep dark purple, but not too dark. I find when I look at the color deep purple, it somehow makes me feel relaxed.
