Aug. 6, 2009 - The Big Adventure
I've tried to write this post many a time, but I kept getting distracted, or I would delete the whole thing on accident and having it all typed up and ready to post. Here it is though! Maybe not as good as the first one I had, but here it is!
Idaho

We stopped in Idaho for two nights to say goodbye to some family and friends. We had a great time jet skiing, and just being with everyone before heading into the great unknown.
Utah
We stopped to see the ATK Rocket Display in Utah. It was probably a little more interesting then it would have been before for me because I had just watched Apollo 13 a few days before. After a few minutes of looking though, I was ready to hop back in the car and keep going. Daddy and Kekoa didn't go for that though. They needed a little more time to read all the little signs and look at everything.
After that we went to the Golden Spike. The museum was closed, but we got out and looked around out side where the actual monument was.
Wyoming
Many of you heard me refer to Wyoming as "The armpit of the world" however I uttered those words before traveling deeper into that country. I did find parts of Wyoming very beautiful. After looking around Cheyenne we went to an RV park only to be told there was no room. So we continued into Denver Colorado where we stayed the night.
Colorado
The state I remember with the fondest memories. We ate in a KC-97 that had been converted into a restaurant. It was pretty neat, but I was ready to get moving. The reason? Our next stop was at my friend Sam's house and I was dieing to meet her. You can read more about that
HERE. You can also read her post about it
HERE.
Kansas
First stop here was Dodge City where we got to watch a gun fight and get old time photos. It was pretty exciting, and we all had a really good time! After Dodge, we headed for Independence where we saw the sight of The Little House on the Prairie. There was a reconstructed cabin, post office, and school that was really neat to see. As well as a really cute little gift shop.
Missouri
This is just a little block of text to let you know that we did drive through Missouri, I don't think a single picture was taken, and no stops worth mentioning happened. We did drive through it though, and in one day I might add!
Kentucky
Once we reached Kentucky we got to meet some more blogger friends. Hannahb95 from
Reflections of a Face was a lot of fun to have a photo shoot with. This sweet girl was also happy to share with Eyebright and I a little bit about her home state.
Since then we have just been settling in, taking a look around, and getting know the area. A quick prayer request, we need our house back home to sell before we can buy one here so please pray that it would sell quickly.
Because this post is rather long as is I'll sign off now.

Bluejane,
I think your trip to Kentucky sounded amazing.
I liked how you put together those photo collages. They all turned out really neat.
By the way, I'm going to add you onto my friends list.
Talk with you later.
