• Jul. 24, 2008 - Big storms
Mon, there was a BIG storm. There was thunder and lightning. And rain. Brown and Daddy were in town. Mommy and I were home. Mommy decided to go for a walk. While we were walking, we heard thunder. (it wasn't very close) So we ran home. Then the wind started to blow really hard. So I let Murphy in. Then there was rain and louder thunder, and lightning! One was less than a mile away! Then the power went off at about 5:10. And Mommy wondered what we were going to do for supper if it stayed off. Daddy and Brown got home, and the power was still off. We already had some turkey in the crock-pot. And we had some Mac n cheese in the refrigerator. So we went outside and cooked the mac n cheese on the grill. And we made instant mashed potatoes. Then we ready for bed, and the power came on! It was off for about 5 hours! I've never had it off that long! But Mommy said it was off for 2 weeks once.
But the next day, there were more bad storms. But I don't think it was as bad as the other one. Then about an hour after the storm was gone, we heard something. Do you know how thunder sounds different when it closer? It has more of a crack than a rumble? I thought that it sounded like thunder that was really close, but it didn't sound as loud. (it's confusing to explain) We looked outside, and we didn't see anything. Then the next day, Daddy said that there was a tree down. So 2 or 3 days ago, we looked at it. It was a HUGE tree!!!! So we think that that's what we heard.
Brown's friend is up here now. There playing the together. As soon as I finish this, I'm going to play with them. But we went down to dam again, and swam. Then it started to rain. When we got home, it quit. So we swam at the dock. Then it started to rain some more. So just came in and played the Wii!
That was a long post! I'm going to play the Wii now!

Grandmama had a good time at the party.
Yesterday we went to the dam to swim. We brought the boat there. Brown and I (and Murphy) were the only ones to swim. (Murphy didn't really swim, but she got wet. Mommy stuck her feet in the water, and she held Murphy. Daddy was fishing. Then the neighbor's dog came and barked at Murphy. So we decided to go to the dock. We swam there a while. Daddy went in the boat and fished some more. But we had a good time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMAMA!!!
Today is Grandmama's birthday!
I would change the color back to the orange, but I don't want to go and find the color. Be too hard. I'll just leave it this color. Since Grandmama doesn't have a computer, then I can write what we're going to do for a party.
Last week, we took Grandmama and her friend out to eat. Then yesterday, we went to Susan's (Mommy's sister) house, and Susan got a cake. So we think that Grandmama thought that that was her party. But today, we're going to go to an all you eat buffet, and the whole family will be there! But we are hoping her sister, Sue, would come in from WV, but she doesn't want to! :(
But I think Grandmama will like it!

I think that Brown's Poison Ive on his face is getting better. But he got a shot Sat (and he got into the Ive on Tue) and it's still spreading! It's on his face, neck, arms, legs and hands. I don't know he can stand it! He went his doctor today, and he gave him some medicine. So I hope that will work! Daddy was all in it the same time Brown was, but Daddy's not allergic to it! I never thought that someone couldn't be allergic to it! That's strange.

The turtle got away! So now we have to get a new one! :( We put it outside in a fence, but it got out. :(
I finally got some pictures of our Corvette!
Do you like it? Daddy painted that fire on it. It's called True Fire. It looks like real fire. Most cars that have fire, they have it to look like fake fire.

I think Daddy did a really good job. Don't you?
I got my results back from tcaps! I did great! On Math and Language Arts, I got above advanced on all of them! And Science and Social Studies, I got above proficient on all of them. :( But not much. But I passed! Yippie!!!!!

• Jul. 5, 2008 - a lot of stuff
Happy 4th of July! Sorry it's a little bit late.
My cousin, Nathan, got a new blog!!! He'd really like it if you made friends with him!!!
Brown went to camp on Sunday, and came back today. The first day, I went to go see Wall-E. Then we stayed home the next day. Then the next day, I went swimming with my cousins, Katherine and Nathan. Then on the 4th, we had a party at our warehouse. There is a perfect spot to see the fireworks they do every year. So we had a party without Brown!!!
Then after the party was over, we talked with some of our friends, Mike and Diannia. So we were laughing and having a good time, then Mike said, "Look! there's a kitty at the fence!" (the fence might be about 20 yards away from were we where) So we kept on talking. Then Mike said again, "There it is again! A cat!" Then Daddy said, "No! It's a skunk!" Then we just thought about the animal that was out there. Then Daddy said, "There's the skunk again!" We looked, and the skunk was in the warehouse!!! So I ran to the office. Then Daddy got a cup and put potato chips in it, and threw it outside. And the skunk followed!!! Then we closed the door. But I thought that exciting.
Brown is doing a merit badge called Reptiles and Amphibians. And one thing you have to do, is have a reptile or amphibian. So decided he wanted a turtle! So we were driving home today, and we saw a turtle on the highway!!! So Daddy and Brown turned around and got it! So now it's in a bucket. We gave it food and water. Brown decided to name it Lightning.

Brown called today. He said he's having a fun time at boyscout camp. We might go down and visit him on Wed. He's staying in NC.
I got my template done. So you like it? The links and the writing are too much alike though. But I guess it's good enough.
In less than 2 months is my 11th birthday!!! (Aug 27th) And Sept 7th is Mommy's birthday. (she wouldn't like it if I said how old she was.) Oct 12th is my cousin, Katherine's birthday. She'll be 11, too. OH! And emily6m posted today, and said her birthday is on the 29th of Aug! So our birthdays are just 2 days apart! I think she will be 13? And it's also her twin's birthday! (I think....but if it's her birthday, then I'd say it's her twin's birthday, too)

The computer is working again! Now I don't have to use the laptop!
Tomorrow Brown is going to go to camp for one week. He's going with his scout troop. Everybody asks me what I'm going to do while he's gone, and I said, "I'm going to have a party." (not really) I don't enough friends to have a party....
I think I'm going to do a little bit of changing on my template. Like change colors and stuff.

• Jun. 26, 2008 - Bird eater! (and other stuff)
We have a bird eater in the....yard. Yesterday we saw a dead bird outside! And we all knew who killed it. Murphy. Then she brought the bird on the other deck, and we saw another dead bird on the that deck! So we all know who killed it. Murphy. She killed two birds! :(
Last night at about 9:30, I was on the computer, (of course I was blogging) and Daddy was watching TV, then the power went off! And the laptop computer and internet stayed on, so I just kept on doing my stuff. But Daddy was mad that the TV went off because he was watching a show he really liked. So we got flashlights and candles. So I slept upstairs on the couch. (I can slep better up there when the power is out.) So about 11:30 I had my eyes open, (even though I couldn't see anything) and I heard a POP! Then another pop! And the power flickerd, it did it again! Then the power came on! And it stayed on all night! Yippie!
Now time for the mouse eater. Mommy woke me up today and she said, "There's a mouse in a mouse trap! And it's still alive!" So I thought that I might as well get up and look at it. So I did. The poor little mouse! It was breathing so hard! So we got it out, then we called Murphy. She loved it! (she loved to chew on it) I don't know where it is now.

Well....Grandmama called a few days ago and said that there is a bird's nest in her paper box! And the next day, I went over and saw the nest! And the paperman just throws the paper out on the sidewalk. So yesterday I went to see if any eggs were in the nest, and I saw two eggs!!!! I can't wait till they hatch! :) We don't know what kind of bird it is though.

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while! We've been so busy! One thing, Brown has ball, and he started working a couple or weeks ago, and he FINALLY got done with scouts for the winter. (They do scouts in the winter, and when school gets off, they stop for the summer.) But Brown is doing a Reading Merit Badge, so he has to do work at a libray every Wed this month. So I guess we can blame it on Brown!!! heehee! And last night he spent the night with his friend.
Well, I don't have much else to say....I just thought I'd post because I haven't posted in a while! :)

There have been a LOT of storms here lately. A few days ago, it was hailing! But not very long. Maybe 10 sec or so. But there was a lot of thunder and rain. Then I called Mommy, and she was in town, and she said that it was sunny and clear there! But just about 15 miles away from there, where Grandmama lives, she said it looked like snow! (the hail did) And the lightning struck the TV stuff, now we can't watch TV. The computer is messed up. So I'm using the laptop. I'm hoping that we won't have anymore t-storms. I just hope that it'll rain! We REALLY need the rain.

• Jun. 7, 2008 - Award, birds and swimming
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We've been really busy. Brown has ball, scouts, he's started a new job with our grandfather. He's installing hardwood floors. And we're doing a lot of work around the house. Today is the only day I got to post!
I got an award from bigcatcentral! Thanks!!! But sorry it took me so long to get it! I didn't see until now!
I'm awarding: Everyone on my friends list!
Yesterday I was outside, and I heard a "Tweet, tweet." And then I saw 4 little baby birds in a nest! And the mama would come by and give it food! They were pretty muchly grown all the way. One of them started flapping it's wings. So I showed the rest of the family.
Then this morning, Mommy came in my room and said, "Bobbi! Get up! One of the birds got out of the nest and is sitting next to it on a branch!" So I went outside, and there it was! Beside the nest!
So I watched it for a little while, and then it flew away! And I got to see it! I got to see it's first flight! And I heard it tweeting in the trees!
Then before we ate lunch, another one got out! Then after we ate, it was gone!
Then a little while after that, The others two got out! But then they went back in the nest.
It was hot today! So Brown and I went down to the lake, and swam some! It was so much fun!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been REALLY busy.
Happy birthday to Brown! His birthday was yesterday! He's 14 now!
It has REALLY been raining here. Thunder storms for the last 2 nights. It's raining now. (it's about 11:30) One time, the power went off, then a HUGE crack of thunder came along with it. The news said that it's supposed to rain and thunderstorm all week except Monday.
We had to go to a wedding last night, then Mommy got sick, and I had a really bad headache. And Brown got sick the night of his birthday. So we've been feeling bad. So do think that can pray that we won't get sick or anything anymore? But we're all feeling a WHOLE lot better now. I haven't had a headache all day. Except for a little bit. But it didn't hurt very badly.

• May. 21, 2008 - Glasses and ball
Mommy is going to get eyeglasses! I wonder if I can get used to her having glasses? She said that with far away things, it's like a blur or something. So she went to an eye appointment. Can you believe that eyeglasses cost $300?! That's a lot!!!
Mommy's mom wears reading glasses, her dad wore glasses, her two sisters and brother wore glasses. So that makes sense that she would have to wear them.
Brown won his first ball game!!! And the 2nd one he missed. But his team won that one, too! I hope they win the next one tomorrow!!!
Well, today Mommy had her eye apointment. Then tomorrow, (22nd) Brown has a baseball game. Then on Fri, (23rd) Brown has scouts, then on Sat, (24th) we have to work with Daddy. Then on Sun, (25th) Brown has ball practice. On Mon, (26th) Brown has another game. On Tue, (27th) Brown has scouts. Nothing on Wed (28th). On Thur, (29th)we are going to go to Kentucky, and get a Tow motor, then on Fri, (30) we're going to go to WV and see family, then drive back home. Then on Sat, (31st) we have to go to a Wedding, it's Brown's 14th birthday, and we have two ball games. On Sun, (June 1st) is a party for the family. On Mon or Tue, (2nd or 3rd) someone we know will be in town.
That's a lot of stuff to do!

• May. 16, 2008 - School, ball, birthday and pictures
I'm done with school for the summer!!! I'm so happy! But what do I do all day??? I usually just do school 'till 4:00, then I just watch TV or play my game.
Brown is starting ball again! He's going into Junior League. He was in Little League. They had the try-outs Tue, then the couch called yesterday and said that today we are going to have practice and get the uniforms. And Brown got on a team with his friend! Brown was REALLY happy that he got on his team!!! I mean it...REALLY happy. You should've seen him!!! He was doing a little dance and stuff. He he!
Brown's birthday is in 15 days! (May 31st) He will be 14!!!
Ok, I said that I'd post some of the cars. So I will!
These first ones are Daddy's 1965 Mercury, Comet.
This one is me in the backseat. Aren't the seats neat! Mommy made the out of old bluejeans.
This one is at Grandmama's house. We took her for a ride in it. You can see me, Brown, with his hands sticking up in a crazy why, Daddy witch is hard to see, and Grandmama, with her head turned away. (She is camera shy)

• May. 11, 2008 - Mother's Day and weather.
Happy Mother's Day!
This is what we did for Mother's Day:
First I gave Mommy her present. I sewed a little doll for her. (I think she really liked it) Then we went into town and gave Grandmama some flowers. Then we went to a hard-ware store and got a swing. A swing that you can just hang up on the porch. One that 3 people can sit on. Oh! I guess I better tell you why we needed to get one!
We put the swing up last winter. Then we got it back out yesterday. We had a pad for it, but Murphy chewed it up. So since the thin padding below it was so thin, we didn't want Murphy on it. We thought she'd poke a whole in it. So, I went outside today and saw a HUGE whole in the swing! And Daddy said that when he left home today, that Murphy was on it. So we think that was on it, then it just gave out on her. We all wished we could've seen her fall! ;-)
So that's why we got one. But this one has webbing under it. That means that it has semi-big holes in it. So if Murphy gets on it, she's fall through! Hee hee! And when we go back inside after we're done sitting on it, we'll bring the pad inside.
Then we went to Mamaw and Papaw's house and ordered pizza. And that's what we did for Mother's Day.
Now about the weather.
It's been REALLY rainy outside. And cold. I think it's really cold to us, because we just got back from FL. Murphy is in the house right now. She's wet though. And stinks. I think I'll let her out when I'm done on the computer. And I think I'm done now! Bye Murphy!

• May. 8, 2008 - I forgot!
Okay, this is what I was going to say yesterday, but I forgot!
We saw a Hummingbird Moth yesterday! And I spotted it! I think they're pretty rare. Mommy said that that's the 3rd one she's seen. We saw one at Grandmama's, and she saw one at the beach before I was born. I've only seen 2. We got some pictures, but they were not very good.
Just 6 more days of school left! We get off on Fri if we do it every day! (Except Sat and Sun) I'm so happy!
