There are so many cloak and dagger issues within this years political campaign run. Tell me again how Mark Foley represents the entire Republican party? Somehow the Democratci party, sheltered by the media, seems to be able to forget all the transgressions of members of their politicians. None of these determine who you should vote into office, they merely cloud the issues.
On the positive side, I found this article, by Phil Kerpen, that has focused on an important issue; the budget may be down, but we still have BIG government. We don't need more government, we need less, in addition to a low budget and continued tax breaks.
When you are researching candidates for the upcoming election, put their party to the side. Forget about their ads promoting them as a Reagan type politician or the For the People person. Look at their track record. Have they voted the way you would on past issues? Have they kept their precious campaign promises? Do they stand for the issues you stand for? Do they promote families? You know what is important to you and your family. Find the candidates that believe the same and also believe in smaller government and vote for them in the upcoming election.
Most likely, you either homeschool or support homeschooling, if you are reading this, although others make their presence known from time to time. However, if your children are a priority and your view of life and your freedom to choose your children's education is important, then show that by making informed votes.
These are my thoughts.
