My favorite present

Thanks for all the birthday comments, and posts! I'll post pictures of all my presents later, but for now, I'm just posting pictures of my favorite present. (sorry the pics are kind-of blurry. I was in a hurry...) My grandparents got here last night and they gave me their old camera (they wanted a smaller one). Its used, but to me its new, and its in great condition so it doesn't matter!

This is a view of the front of the camera, with the lens cap on:

This is the back of my camera.

And lastly, here is the front of my camera again. The lens cap is off, and the screen is flipped around to the front. A handy think when taking your own picture!

This camera has sooo many features on it! I think I'll spend one of these days reading the booklet. :-) One of my favorite things is that while taking a video, you can zoom in and out--a feature my mom's camera didn't have! It also has a view finder, so I can turn off the display, and save the battery. I like using the screen better, but the view finder works fine too.

Thanks Grammy and Grampy!!!

It is so neat that you got a new camera. It looks like a Canon Powershot. I just got a new camera also, and it is a Canon Powershot, kind of like that. I, too, am going to have to read the instructions manuel, because it has so many features that I don't really know how to use!

Good luck getting to know your camera!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Hey, Amy!

Wow, that's a nice camera. =) My camera takes videos, but they're no more than 30seconds long, and they don't have sound. =P Why'd they even put that feature in there, anyway?? *sigh*

Anyhoo... Enough about my dismay... =)

I'll be replying to your email soon, as you know, I was at a youth "retreat" last weekend--God is good! I'll tell you about it when I reply. =)

Yes, I do have my own camera - it is just a cheap digital one, but is broken.
I am going to save for my dream camera though..a Nikon or Cannon. :)

My camera doesn't take very good action shots, but I LOVE to take them! I think my favorite thing to snap a picture of is nature. If I could, I would definitely take pictures of a wedding! Oh, how I love those AWESOME wedding photos! Thanks for leaving a comment!

How are you! I am so sorry it took so long to get back to you. Because my dad is laid of now he uses the Internet a lot. To answer you question about my slide show. I took most of them. None of the one with tornadoes or lightning. The other ones I got from a friend of mine. Say, who is your sister that told you about my blog? Just wondering.

God bless

I have the A630. It's a great camera. To take a good picture of your eye you need a lot of light and of course you have to turn the flash off so you don't hurt yourself. You also need macro, macro is a setting that you use to take pictures that are close up but don't come out blurry. Anyway, I have to get ready for church. I'll talk to you later.
God bless

Yes, it is disappointing. =( My sister's doesn't have sound, either--even though the box says it does. =(

I got your email, and am trying to find time to reply! I am a module behind in science, and am trying to catch up!

Thanks for the comment on my Soap Box blog!
I am not sure where the name soap box first came from. But way back probably in the 1800s some time. When someone would have something important to say they would stand on an empty soap box in the center of town and then give there little lecture in hopes of correcting what ever it was that was going on at the time. Now we use it as a figure of speech. When someone speaks out against something they are sometimes said to be on their soap box.
So that is the long complicated story of the title of my soap box blog. LOL
