Surprise Package
Yester day Elisabeth came into the house with the mail for the day and handed me a package! I was very surprised because I knew I hadn't orded anything lately... I figured that if my mom had ordered it and did n't want me to know, she wouldn't have had it addressed to me, so I opened it. It turned out that it wasn't from my mom at all! It was a "gift" from Mission City Press! I had entered the "God is Not" essay contest at www.alof.com, and although I didn't win, we're thinking that this must be some sort of honerable mention prize... Anyway here is what was inside: Dear Elsie. This is a book filled with questions that girls have sent in, and then "Elsie's" answer.
Now my ALO F collection consists of the Laylee Colbert book, all the Kathleen Mackenzie books, and Dear Elsie. My favorite of them all is probably the second Kathleen book. I got the Laylee book for my birthday this year, from Elisabeth, and the Kathleen books were a gift from my parents, a few years ago.
Tomorrow we are going to a friends house with a few other homeschoolers to have a "shoebox science fair". Your experiment has to fit in a shoebox or a something smaller. I'll post about mine in a few days. Other than that, there isn't much excitement to post about... (except for on the 16th when I get braces!) |
