Monday, March 2, 2009 Purple Flower
Instead of posting more pictures of my family and that kind-of stuff, I'm going to take a break and post some of my photo-shopping results. They are mostly all the same flower. This flower picture has been a great one! Its been in GGM, and the colors contrast so well, that you can do almost anything in a photoshop program and it will look neat.  If we had more flowers around here, I'd start a blog with this header: (well, maybe I wouldn't start a whole new blog--maybe it would be a category...)
I did some more of the "center color" on this lily. I think it kind of looks like its glowing...
I did quite a few random features, but they all ended up looking really similar. :-) I really really like the colors in this picture--they are sooo bright and happy!
This next one is a little different, I must admit.  It would be neat to find a flower like that, but I don't think I ever will. LOL!
Now that I got all those in here, we can move on to another topic. I'm thinking about changing my blog to a photography blog, because I basicly only post pictures anyway... So I'd like your opinion on wether or not I should just leave it how it is, or change everything around and confuse you.  |

Time for the action shots...
In this first one, I had Alison jump up the ladder to the monkey bars, and pull up her knees to make it look really high. I took quite a few of this kind, but I think this one is best... (it kind-of looks like she has her hair in a crazy bun. )
In this next one, I unfortunately cut off her head but I still think it was neat.
If you look closely, you can tell that her one hand isn't even holding on yet... Scary!
I got quite a few with the ball way up there, and one of them even had the ball in the basket (it took a little while to find it...) but I chose this one. No special reason...
So now you can all go and take some pictures that are better. :-) |

Friday, January 30, 2009 Pictures Part 1: The Great Outdoors
I couldn't believe it when I saw that I hadn't posted since the 19th!!! Oh well, I have quite a few pictures to post. This post is for pictures of outdoor stuff, except for one picture:
The one with black eyes is mine, and its twin was a birthday gift for a very special friend. I've had sooo much fun making sock monkeys! I'm in the middle of making one right now, and I have one other that is already done. I'll post pictures of them all soon.
And now for the outside pics--first the flowers. Yes, I know that I'm always saying that there aren't any flowers around here... Exception: at church, there are a few, and our neighbors have a few on their bush. AND, we do get a few cacti flowers but they aren't very pretty...

This one is one of my favorites because the sun is on the trees, not the background, which kind-of makes it look like the trees are glowing. (it does that more when its really big) The day I took it, we had some really neat lighting sometimes... I had lots of fun taking pictures of the sky, with the sun peeking out from the clouds.
I have no idea where I took this picture... I don't remember any trees like that at the park, and there definantly aren't any at our house...
So there you go. I will probably post my action pictures next. I had sooo much fun taking pictures of people jumping off the playground! It always works best when you have them pull up their knees so it looks like they are higher in the air. I'll post them once I get a good amount of comments on this post. :-) |

Monday, January 19, 2009 My favorite present
Thanks for all the birthday comments, and posts! I'll post pictures of all my presents later, but for now, I'm just posting pictures of my favorite present. (sorry the pics are kind-of blurry. I was in a hurry...) My grandparents got here last night and they gave me their old camera (they wanted a smaller one). Its used, but to me its new, and its in great condition so it doesn't matter!
This is a view of the front of the camera, with the lens cap on:

And lastly, here is the front of my camera again. The lens cap is off, and the screen is flipped around to the front. A handy think when taking your own picture!
This camera has sooo many features on it! I think I'll spend one of these days reading the booklet. :-) One of my favorite things is that while taking a video, you can zoom in and out--a feature my mom's camera didn't have! It also has a view finder, so I can turn off the display, and save the battery. I like using the screen better, but the view finder works fine too.

For the past few weeks, I've been listening to a few History Adventure tapes for History class. While I do that, I also do art class. :-) Its actually so I have something to do while I listen. I have this notepad with paper about 3x3, which is the perfect size to do full page scenes. Here are a few I've done:

I got the ideas for these two on old cards we had:
 
This girl reminds me of Pippi Longstocking, except that she doesn't have long hair. :-)
And on this one, I love the little boy's round tummy.
Does any one having any ideas of what else I could put in beside my poodle. I have an idea, except I couldn't draw it.  The poodle is cute though! I love her crossed arms!
 And last of all, I have this picture that I don't like, and I don't know why I'm posting it, or even why I drew it... Please ignore the smudge marks on the girl's face... That is what happens when you erase the mouth too many times. :-)

I know its been a long time since I posted last, but I just had no ideas. I thought that since I had been playing around with photoshop, I'd post the edited pics.
This is one of my favorite color effects to do:
 And on this last one, I was just playing around with random effects in my photo shop program. Do you like my photo shopped sunlight???
Here is a picture that I did of Emily. All I did was make it a negative.
Here is a banner that I made using Xheader. Its not hard when the backgrounds are provided for you and all you do is add text. :-) Click on it to make it bigger.
This last picture is a pic I drew a while ago. I've been drawing a bunch of really cute pictures that I'll scan and post in a few days.

Saturday, November 29, 2008 Thanksgiving
 This year we went to my grandparent's house for Thanksgiving. I had soooooooo much fun!!! On Monday(?) I took the camera outside to Grammy's garden and had a blast taking pictures of her flowers! I wish I had some flowers to take pics of.
 A tip I learned on Better Photo is to take pictures of flowers on a cloudy day so you don't get shadows--it was a cloudy day (another thing we don't get many of here...) and so I got quite a few good photos!
  Since we had to drive home on Thursday, we had an early Thanksgiving at the park. We ate Lasagna instead of turkey though. (we are going to eat a turkey dinner on Monday) All my cousins, aunts and uncles and a few other people were there too!
 After lunch we played tag (sorry, I'm not posting any pics of it...) and baseball (above is Carrotlover--Notice that look on her face---I would hate to be the ball coming towards her. :-)
  I really like the color in that second photo--I wanted a pic of only the red flowers but the purple ones happened to get in the way... It ended up better than I thought it would though! More random pics:

Saturday, October 25, 2008 Miscellanious (how do you spell that???) Pics
On Friday we went to the mall to go shoe shopping (we did find some!!! Yippee!!!), the library and then to the park. I stole the camera for a little bit--I'll post the pictures in between the paragraphs and at the end of the post.  The reason I said "yippee" about finding shoes, is because I usually can't! My problem is that I'm size 11... A size for each year. I hope my feet stop growing because it is really really hard to find shoes that big!
 Have any of you read Redwall? The author is Brian Jacques. Its about a war between the mice and the rats. When my mom told me what it was about I said, "I don't want to read it. I don't like rats, and I won't like reading it." But when I read it, I loved it and wanted to get all the other books in the series that day... (there are about 15) But my mom said I could only get a few (they are pretty thick--around 400 pages) so I got 4.
 We are taking a few weeks off of school because we finished our first quarter. I think we will take 1 or 2 more off. I like having the week off but I've spent most of our time off reading...
 I've been playing doll house with my sister carrotlover. Its quite the game... Our grandparents gave us a bunch of foreign coins, and in those were a bunch of francs, so we use them as play money.

Thursday, October 23, 2008 Organizing
If I'm not careful, every post will start with "I haven't posted in sooo long!" and I don't want that to happen... Oh well I'll try to be more diligent about it. At least I get lots of comments on each post when I leave a few weeks in between each post--I have 22 on the last one!
Anyway I didn't come to post about how long its been since I last posted...
Today I cleaned off my desk and the shelf beside it (can you tell that I haven't been doing school at it lately??? :-):

Thursday, October 2, 2008 Its been a while...
... Since I posted last!!! Oh well. I have a bunch of pictures of post but they aren't on this computer or uploaded to photobucket so those will have to wait...
So until then, I'll post something else.
First of all, some animations I made with Jasc Animation Shop:
I think this one would look good as a header if I made it a rectangle and I didn't have those clouds behind it. I think some other background would be better. (it might look a little chopy, (sp?) but its usually pretty smooth)
And this one is quite interesting--its also kind-of hard to read...
 Then here is a picture I took of my calculator. I think it turned out really good.
 That's all the pics for now. 
Today we go together with another homeschooling family at the park. They have 4 boys and 1 girl. We hadn't seen them in a LONG time!!! Then after that we went to the library and I got a bunch of books. The only problem is that I've read almost all of them before...
