May. 7, 2007 - The Mystery of History

Listed below are some of the girls' Mystery of History projects and activities.

Preparation - The TimeLine

Week 1 - Adam & Eve Activity

Week 3 - The Sumerians Cuneiform Tablet Activity

Week 4 - Stonehenge Activity

Week 4 - Early Egyptians Activity

Week 5 - Joseph, The Coat of Many Colors Activity

Ashlyn's Coat, Jaidyn's Coat and Trynn's Coat (Ok, Trynn had a little help from Dad!)

Daddy's Staff for Joseph (And his fish and baseball!)  Mommy's fish, and Ashlyn's flower!

Week 6 - The Israelites in Slavery (Making Bricks)

This was hilarious.  Trynn wanted nothing to do with making bricks.  She didn't want to get her hands dirty! It was so funny.  You can see her displeasure with this project in this picture.  She didn't hide it at all.  Of course, our artist, Ashlyn loved it - and Jade is always up for anything.

Week 8 - Amenhotep IV & Nefertiti (Cartouche)

For those of you don't know, a cartouche is a special picture box with an inscription of a name.  The girls tried to write their initials in Egyptian on the page shown here.

Week 8 - King Tutankhamen

Oh, wow - did we have fun with the gold and silver glitter pens!  (BTW - Don't tell Daddy his picture is on here!  He's such a cutie though!)

Week 9 - Gideon (Make Clay Pot)

Surprisingly, Trynn didn't mind this project with the clay - I guess because we didn't mix straw with it - the texture must have been different.  You can see here her hands are all over it!

WOW! What beautiful pictures. You and your beautiful lil girls are making such awesome memories. I am looking into the mystery of History right now online,...but I don't see where the art projects come in. Do you get a supply list to purchase or does this kit come all complete. My girls saw the pictures of what your girls are doing and said THEY ARE SO LUCKY!!! (ages 9 and 6). Please let me know more about this program if you can! Thanks, Patti~
