Elizabeth Swann Pirate Costumes - Pirate Garb
 Elizabeth Swann Pirate Costume

pirate19.jpg picture by wintercreek

This costume was inspired by the one worn by Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.

There are 3 pieces to the costume: pirate shirt, pants and waistcoat.

CopyofCopyofshift7.jpg picture by wintercreek

This costume has been hand dyed and aged to have similar colors to the original…the hems and other areas have been distressed to look old and a dirty dye mixture was added to give it that authentic pirate dirt, but is still pretty.

I loved the back lacing detail turned out… and the buttons are a very detailed dark bronzed gold.

I reply to you comment:
I have learned some things about knitting, and knit-a-longs, that have smoothed some things out in a sense. Such as, instead of me supplying the pattern, those who are participating, either make up their own, or find a pattern themselves. That would make things easier for me, but then I could wind up with people making patterns that really have nothing to do with the story.

I don't know, I will have to think about it a little more.

10/25/2007 - Hey Brielle!

First off, I love your long comments! :)

Oh of course I know where portland is ;) My Great Grandmother lives in Newburg :) We visit her whenever we are in WA! Oh I shall come and visit now! Cause your not THAT far away from Kent- Seatlle region. Trust me, we go to Portland whenever in WA so.. Lets see.. Next time we are going will probably be next year sometime. Hopefully we can meet up then. :) But if you ever in AZ let me know ;D

Oh My brother tried on a Jack sparrow costume that was his friends and he really wants one. Mom doesn't want to buy one from the disney store though. Basically if my mom agrees we would come to you. :) In fact, I shall talk to her today about it. My brother brandon, 5 years old, loves to dress up like the characters in movies. Superman, spiderman, and such :) Yes he knows who Jack Sparrow is, he keeps trying to get me to let him watch the POTC movies but mom says no. He basically knows who the characters are from people talking about them and from the ride at disneyland :)

But yeah! I will talk to my mom tonight. We are kind of tight on money so it might not be this month even maybe not next month. But I will let her know! :)

Love
Julia

PS- When I can, I want to order the Elizabeth dress. ;)
