This blouse was inspired by the one worn by Elena in the Mask of Zorro movie

The sleeves are made of small "petal" like fabric shapes. Each of the "petals" have been edged in green thread and accented with three French knots. The front of the blouse is accented with rows of embroidery in the pattern of small vines similar to the original design. The empire waist of the bodice is embellished with a small burgundy ribbon.  

I was originally going to make the skirt for this costume, but happened to find one at a pirate festival so I decided to buy it instead. The skirt is decorated with overlays and beads… I suspect the skirt was made, and then dyed the correct color.
