Prince Charming Costume
                         Disney08131.jpg picture by wintercreek

This is a costume I designed and made for Prince Charming to wear in a Musical                             Production of Cinderella.

cinderella052.jpg picture by wintercreek cinderella085.jpg picture by wintercreek

Because the script and story are supposed to take place in France, I used the                 Fleur-de-le  as the Royal Crest for the King, Queen and Prince and royal staff.                    On the Prince’s ball tunic I redesigned the simple fleur-de-le to have it look more       dramatic.

cinderella095.jpg picture by wintercreek cinderella097.jpg picture by wintercreek

 The costume consists of:

-           Full sleeved pirate style shirt with collar and side vents.

-            Circle cape with royal button closure and silver accented trim, back                 features a large silver appliquéd Fleur-de-le.

-           The Royal Tunic also features the Fleur-de-le appliqué as well as silver                  trim, dark navy embossed fabric and embroidery around the sleeves.                          I also dusted this costume piece with iridescent glitter.

-           The Prince Caviler Hat is made of velvet and trimmed with black                    ostrich plums and pheasant feathers. (please note that the hat is                     available at  talltoad.net)

-      For the ball scene and the wedding, a silver Fleur-de-le metal crown                        was worn in place of the black hat.

-           The pants are made of a dark blue silk type fabric that is still substantial,                and works well with the boots.

-            Black leather style boots were also worn with this costume to complete                   the look.

Thanks to my twin brother for modeling the Prince Charming costume.
