~ Cinderella’s Ballgown ~

 Her ballgown was designed to look like her peasant dress turned into a fancy gown… so many of the details stayed the same; such has the neckline, bodice lacing and of course the pink color stayed a sparkly princess pink.

The fabrics used for her ballgown consisted of: a sparkly pale pink organza, rose colored pink iridescent taffeta that had a silver blue sheen to it, pink taffeta for her built in petticoat and pale pink cotton for the underlining.

The skirt had four layers sewn into the gown, which gave it a nice silhouette.  

Her accessories included a sparkly tiara that I decorated with crystals that appeared to light up once they were under the stage lights. The earrings were also accented with crystals to match the bodice detail around the neckline.  

Of course a Cinderella dress would have to include a pair of glass slippers…these slippers looked so pretty on the actresses that played the part of Cinderella....

Very nice! Was this the Roger's and Hammerstein version? We just did that one this spring at our school. It's neat to see what other people are doing for it.
