Costume Snap Shot: Eowyn's White Dress----------------------

After receiving many comments, e-mails and messages of girls mentioning Eowyn’s white dress… I asked myself… “What is it about that dress that draws people to it?”

     In all reality it a simple Medieval style, but with an addition of a belt the gown becomes more royal. Besides some hand embroidery at the neckline and some silk style fabric that line the long flowing sleeves…the dress is rather plain. So then, might I ask what is it that everyone likes about it? Perhaps it is Eowyn’s version of the “the little black dress” 

 … I think that it is all the atmosphere and dramatic look of that costume…that appeals to girls and ladies. Who wouldn’t want to wear a long flowing gown on the top of a hill, wind blowing your hair; looking down upon your kingdom? To me that is what makes this gown of hers so special and so popular.

Oh, I would dearly LOVE to have a dress like that; you are so talented!! I just love all your costumes, they're all amazing. I'm hoping to make Eowyn's green and gold dress one of these days; I have the pattern but I just need the fabric and the time!! ;) Do you have any tips for me?
