Regency Gown and Bonnet

                Blog5.jpg picture by wintercreek

----  Regency Gown and Bonnet ----

This gown was created to have a very historical Regency look… It was greatly inspired by the movie Sense and Sensibility.  I loved the style and look of those costumes…so I wanted to include a few of those details in this costume.

Blog10.jpg picture by wintercreek Blog8.jpg picture by wintercreek

The gown is made with a wrap around style that secures at the side. Fully lined with cream linen and accented with antique lace on the sleeve hems.

Neckline detail is secured with a pretty brooch.

                             ---  Handmade Bonnet  ---

          Blog1.jpg picture by wintercreek

The bonnet is made of silks and satins and edged with a purple trim. To finish off the bonnet style, I included some natural feathers and fabric details.

Interested in your own Regency Fashions?

Please contact me for details… Many styles are available, as well as movie inspired Fashions…if you have a gown you just love from your favorite Jane Austen movie and would like for me to recreate it…simply send me your ideas and we can talk over the details.

Regency Gowns can be made in lots of sizes, I am now offering custom made plus sizes, just ask for details.

Thank you for reading…

Hey!

Lovely!!!!!! I love the color, and the lace on the sleeves, and I like the color of the ribbon on the bonnet too. Very pretty!!!!

I just got to watch "Sense & Sensibility" for the first time a few weeks ago, and I loved it.

Later! ~ Baby Girl

Wonderful costume, Brielle! The bonnet is amazing. Very regal-looking! As I have attempted making bonnets a little bit, I am just curious... What type of materials do you use to make the bonnet structure, brim, etc?

Your Susan dress was also very nice. I love medieval style dresses! They're lots of fun to wear! :-)

Yes, it would be nice to find a Sasha doll for under $100, but, alas, I find it unlikely. Thank you for leaving a comment!

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!
