The Simple Woman's Daybook ~ #25 ~ 3/9/09

Posted in The Simple Woman Daybook

  For Today...

Outside my window...Beutiful, incredible SUNSHINE!!  Around 60 degrees.

I am thinking...I got my hair trimmed up this morning and I'm so happy w/it.  My hair is VERY thick and heavy and it has now been thinned-out and most of the left-over perm is gone.

From the learning rooms...Much of the usual - American Government, Life Skills, Marine Biology, Current Events, Nature Journal and, most importantly, Bible.

I am thankful for...A great weekend and a great church service.  Saturday was Jenna's b-day bowling party and it went so well and w/a good turn out of such godly, special, fun and FUNNY teens.  What good hearts they have and what good friends they are to each other.  It gives me courage for our future.

From the kitchen...We had Taco Bell for lunch...just because.   I'm thinking pork chops for supper.

I am wearing...jeans, brown and pink light-weight sweater.

I am reading...Bible; re-reading Candy Foote's e-book:  "The Word of God on Being a Woman."

I am hoping...That we can get wood floors soon.

I am creating...A neat, clean house.

I am hearing...The radio and Jenna shuffling around some school paperwork.

Around the house...Spring cleaning.

One of my favorite things...Hearing a woodpecker on a tree in the back yard.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Homeschool, gym, DH going to an outing w/some men from our church, DD#2 babysits on Friday a.m.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Here's a photo I took of Marblehead Lighthouse - the oldest working lighthouse on Lake Erie and built by a Revorlutionary War veteran.  This is the lighthouse that many have on their Ohio license plates.

Gotta love this sunshine, eh?! I'm so glad that you are feeling better!! I too am finally rid of that terrible cough. So your youngest is 18...wow..all grown up now. It's great she has such wonderful friends too! I am so not looking forward to all my kids being adults. It won't be a bad thing...just a sad thing. They grow up too quick, dont they? I like the Marbelhead photo. I went there in eighth grade with GIrl Scout camp. My pic of the lighthouse never turned out...so it's nice to see this one. Beautiful place. Thanks for sharing it! ;)
