The Simple Woman's Daybook ~ #38 ~ 7/6/09

Posted in The Simple Woman Daybook

For Today...

Outside my window...Lovely sunshine, puffy clouds coming in before the rains begin - leaves on the trees turning up to welcome the coming rain.

I am thinking...I'm grateful to the Lord for His goodnes to us ~ even though DH is still out of work we KNOW that the Lord has something great being prepared for him; we still have our home, we haven't missed a meal, we still have each other & we still have a great church home & family.

From the learning rooms...16 years of homeschooling has ended (until the grand-kiddos start coming!) & now the learning has shifted to ME!  I'm learning all I can about making a good business plan for my possible new business.

I am thankful for...My family, my home, my church, my country, the health of my family.

From the kitchen...BLT's on homemade flaxseed bread; I have some dill, cilantro, sage & lavender from my herb garden hanging in my kitchen to dry.

I am wearing...brown capris, orange t-shirt.

I am reading...small business websites.

I am hoping...my brother & I can get my mom's affairs in order & that her Alzheimer's symptoms will progress slowly.

I am creating...business plans & a 'wish list' of the type of business I want it to be.

I am hearing...the radio, Maggie the dog yipping at birds outside the window.

Around the house...DH scouring the internet for a job & rejoicing in 2 up-coming interviews, DD#1 just left for work, DD#2 is reading a book, I'm up-dating my blogs & Facebook.  Nothing pressing today.  :-)  Went to the German Baptist farm shops w/my friend, Balinda, this morning; always good fellowship.

One of my favorite things...the sweet fellowship of dear Christian friends.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Planning, praying over my DH's job interviews, closet organizing...

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

This came in a e-mail of animals photos & thought it was adorable.  Once a momma, always a momma.

It's amazing how animals will take care of other species that are not even their own, isn't it? That pic is just adorable. I sure hope that your hubby finds a job soon. The Lord has surely taken good care of you guys during this time. I'll keep praying he finds a job.
