The Simple Woman's Daybook ~ #39 ~ 7/13/09

Posted in The Simple Woman Daybook

For Today...

Outside my window...approaching dusk, a few fluffy cloulds dotting the sky; most of the day held lovely blue skies.

I am thinking...how much I would love to see my best friend from high school.

From the learning rooms...learning all I can about starting a small business.

I am thankful for...paid bills.

From the kitchen...a very satisfying supper:  pork chops, mixed veggies (carrots, mushrooms, green beans, new potatoes, garlic, summer squash, zucchini) & long grain & wild rice.  I cut all the veggies up, sprinkled a little Spike seasoning & my homemade herb mix on them, drizzled a little stir fry sauce on them & wrapped them up in aluminum foil.  DH then grilled the chops & the veggies.  Once on our plates it looked as good as it tasted.  Ahhhh!

I am wearing...jeans & my old "Out of the Grey" t-shirt.  Does anyone remember them?

I am reading...Country Sampler magazine.

I am hoping...that DH's 2nd interview turns out as promising as we think it will!!

I am creating...nothing at the moment.

I am hearing...DH laughin at a moving he's watching.  I love that laugh.

Around the house...DH & DD#2 watching an evening movie, DD#1 working the late shift, I am catching up on e-mails, blogs & Facebook.

One of my favorite things...Seeing dear friends who have moved away & are visiting.

A few plans for the rest of the week...taking my mom to another Dr tomorrow w/my brother, Friday night having supper w/some friends we haven't seen for a while, an old high school friend will be in town this weekend - visiting her family.  She lives on a 1,000+ acre ranch in Texas - the REAL thing!  Awesome!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Our friends that we spend almost every 4th of July w/have a miniature train that seats 8 on a track that runs all through their property - even back through their beautiful woods.  So much fun for kids of ALL ages.  :-)
