Buttons 'N' Woodenspoons

• Apr. 20, 2009 - Cincinnati Homeschooling Convention

Greetings in the name of Jesus! Whew! There are quite a lot of things to get caught up on, and I want to do it all right now. However, there is a lot going on around me right now--namely the morning rush of getting everyone settled into their days.

Firstly, Maizey, my beloved pup, is doing wonderful. Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts. I am convinced that none other than the great God I serve healed her--of course, He is the only One that could have! She is back to normal, running, jumping, playing, and chasing the chickens. Praise the Lord!

Secondly, a couple of weeks ago I went up to Michigan to help some very dear friends of ours. They were going through a lot of problems with the pregnancy of their 5th child. She was born 3 months early on April 11th, and was put in the arms of Jesus on Easter Sunday, April 12th. This was a time of great learning for me, and a time when I realized how amazing life really and truly is. This family has such an amazing faith in God--after all these trials and hardships, the still looked to their Father for direction and blessing. God is good, and He allows us to go through difficult things so that we may draw closer to Him. I can't think of a family that took this more wonderfully than they. God bless you, Demerly family!

Thirdly, the day after I got back from Michigan, we went to a homeschool convention in Cincinnati Ohio. This was a 3 day long convention--the kiddos and I got to go the first day, mom and dad went the second day, and I went back the third day with my parents. Goodness, what a wonderful time I had! I found the book Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends, The Journals of Jim Elliot, and a short book on courtship. I went to a meeting held by Spunky Homeschool over here. After this, I met a lady named Rina who came and asked me for my blog address--how fun! You can visit her here. Meeting new people is so much fun, and very encouraging!

Fourthly, I have a couple of pictures I'd like to share with you, and fifthly, I need to git. Have a wonderful day today, and many blessings to you from Christ!

What?!?! You said you like getting comments!!!

Fine. I'll stop. But you just need to sit on your puff.

No, actually, I'm gonna stop leaving comments because entering all these numbers after each comment is getting annoying!

About Me

Blessings to you! Thank you for stopping by my blog! My name is Tessa, I am a homeschooling high schooler, the oldest of 7 (soon to be 8) kiddos and daughter of the most wonderful earthly parents. I daily live my life trying to serve my King and honor Him in everything I do. I do not live for the moment, I work hard to make a lasting imprint of Jesus on people that I come in contact with everyday. I know that the important things in life take time, much prayer, and a whole lot of trust in Jesus. I pray that you will be blessed in the reading of my blog, that you will see my King shine through each word you read, and that you will be encouraged to live your life for Him. Blessings! ~Tessa
