Today we continued our study from MOH1. We are moving on in our lapbook about Heroes and gods of Ancient Sumer. The children today acted out highlights from their favorite part of the Epic of Gilgamesh
. Here are a few of the photo's from their act. My husband and I along with my oldest ds really enjoyed watching them act this out. We needed costumes and quick
. Well what works better than fine linen? LOL. As you can see, Gigamesh has an old pillowcase (actually it is a sham) and rope for his suit, and Humbaba is a sheet
. My son made the claws for Humbaba out of paper
.
Here is a a clip of their reenactment. The children really enjoyed doing this
. I am so glad we homeschool at times like this. Are they learning? I think so
. I hope you enjoy this little clip. In order to hear the clip you need to stop the music on the music player at the top of the page. Be blessed.
Besides this the children completed the other subjects as well. Math, Reading, Spelling, L/A, Penmanship, Science and Bible
. We did work on the Thanksgiving Lapbook a little and read about the Mayflower Compact. They did not do the writing lesson for today from the November Writing prompt calender. Maybe when they get home from church I'll have them do that one, if they want to. They enjoy being able to get online so something tells me they just might want to complete this one more assignment
.
Well I need to get my little one to bed, and try to gather my thoughts for my Thankful Thursday post. I am working on my BFS assignment also and hope to post it sometime tomorrow.
