Posted in Thankful Thursday
After all my complaining, whining and rambling this week
it is now time ( not that every day isn't a day to be thankful) to thank God for the things he has done, is doing in my life, for his providing, and for his love.- I am thankful that my Lord has patience with me. He never gives up on me and when I feel like giving up he strengthens me and encourages me through His Word, His Spirit, blogger friends, great books, wonderful music, my family, and church.
- I thank God that when I do get *down* , He won't allow me to stay down. He lifts me up. He maketh my feet like hinds feet and setteth me upon high places. Ps 18:33
- I thank God that when I am weak, He is Strong.
- I thank God that my oldest son seems to be calming down a bit ( one day at a time). Less complaining this week. He has been really sweet to me on many occasions , being helpful without being asked and such. I thank God He made a way for me to have the funds to switch his curriculum to the one he has asked for.
- I thank God for the youth program that my oldest in now in. For the men and women of our church ( my pastor, the ranch owner, my friend-the LSW) for getting togehter and helping me with my son. I know it is my duty but I thank God for those He sends to help us out.
- I thank God that He brings me through every storm of life. That He provides for me shelter, comfort and peace, while I am in the storm. He let's me know that I am never alone. He is always with me.
- I thank God that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. No matter what the situation looks like, God can and will handle it as long as we allow Him to. He makes the way where there seems to be no way because He is the WayMaker.
- I thank God for keeping His hand on my middle son even though he was being disobedient this past Sunday when he got hurt on that old trailer. I am thankful that the cut on his head was not life threatening and that he only needed three staples.
- I thank God that in those situations like this past Sunday, we can use the Word of God to teach life lessons to our children. The Word comes out that we have told them and they can see just how true the Bible really is. They can actually tell us a scripture that will relate to the incident if asked. That let's me know we must be doing something right. As long as the Word is first and everything else follows...I believe we will make it.
Be blessed,
Stacy
