In case you are wondering why I have been blogging less, I'll let the pictures do the talking
.
The weather has been so pretty. It is hard to stay indoors. We have spent much of our days outside lately. We haven't made it to the zoo yet, that is our next big outside adventure planned. I thought we would go today, something else came up. We teamed up and went to the church to clean for a fellowship meeting this evening. The kids worked hard and are now outside (the older ones) swimming in the pool.
I have started having my 11 yr old help me with my 3 yr old for class. He is so good with arts and crafts and the little one loves it. He seems more interested if his big brother is playing
with him. I think it is a good life skill to learn, helping with the little one. It also gives my ds, Yakistan, some freedom to do what he wants in the art area. He loves the modeling clay almost as much (maybe even more)as my youngest.
My daughter is learning more life skills also. She has the chore of setting the table each day for dinner. She has been more interested in cooking so I have allowed her more room there. I must admit she is tired of peeling potatoes though. She's been doing that a lot lately.
Have we been schooling (as in workbooks, textbooks)? Yes, we are still doing the basics. We just remember to take the time and enjoy what God has created for us outdoors as well.
We may be stuck indoors as the weather is expected to be rainy for the next few days. I Thank the Lord for the beautiful days we have enjoyed outdoors the last few weeks.
