It has taken me way too long to post this, thank those who have been so kind as to award me with such a sweet award, and to pass it on. I do apologize for the time it has taken me to get this out. So here goes.
This award was presented to me last month by two very sweet ladies in blogland, Ginny from
Proverbs 22:6 Academy and Kim from A Place To Call Home . Thank You both very much. You are both such a blessing to me and I am sure many others out here in blogland.
The rules read: By accepting this Excellent Blog Award, you have to award it to 10 more people whose blogs you find Excellent Award worthy. You can give it to as many people as you want but please award at least 10. Thank you out there for having such great blogs and being such great friends! You deserve this! Feel free to award people who have already been awarded…
Here are the blogs I would like to pass the encouragement along to ( in no particular order):
- Joann at Our Homeschooling Expedition
- Yvonne at Mom 2 Two
- Michelle at My 5 Little Ducks!
- Bobbie at Encouragement Along the Way
- BChsmamaof3 at Huber Hof Academy
- SchoolinRhome
- Kidcraze at The Journey
- Tammy from Encouragement Along the Way
- Amy at DANDELION SEEDS - Scattering inspiration one seed at a time...

I am really at a loss for words right now. All I know to say is "Thank you". To Debbie, Momto5, SchoolinRhome, and proverbsmomof3 for giving me such a sweet award.
If I am correct I am suppose to pass this award on to five of my blogger friends. Now I must say that I have been blessed with lots of blogger friends since July of this year and the ladies that so kindly presented me with this award are on that list so ladies, make room on your display case for yet another award, I pass this back to you
. Okay, Okay. I know thats not what I am supposed to do so without further ado I present this award to....

Bobbie from
Encouragement Along the Way. The title of her blog pretty much sums up the reason. She has been a constant source of encouragement to me and I am sure a lot of others here in blogland.Through her uplifting comments and at times with a bit of humor added she has brought a smile to my face even in seemingly unsmileable situations.

Joann fom
2peter318. Joann was my first friend here at HSB and has continued to be a great blogger friend since. She has been another who encourages me through the reading of her blog(s) and also the comments she has left here.
-
sahmto4orMore . I really enjoy reading her blog also for the way she shares like she does. I look forward to the comments that she so kindly leaves when she visits my blog.
-
JEANNIE78 for being so real! Also stopping in on my blog often and leaving sweet words of encouragement or just the simple hellos letting me know that she has stopped by.
-
Kysha from
http://humblemama.blogspot.com . Kysha is a new blog friend of mine that if I am not mistaken tends to keep the same hours I do , late;-) I look forward to getting to know her better through her blog.
Click on the award graphic and copy the code to pick up your award. I know there are more I would like to name but I am only supposed to name five so thats it. I look at all my blog friends as BFF's Blogger friends forever. I know I am repeating myself when I say I am blessed to be part of such a great circle of friends here at HSB. I really want to get this posted as it is at least my third try in the last two days. My pc was having issues again and of course I had not saved the work as a draft so when the pc would freeze or the IE shut down I lost all I had typed
. I really don't like when that happens. I suppose no one else does either
.
Thanks again Ladies and as always, Be Blessed!

I have been nominated for the Best Nitty-Gritty Homeschool Blog Award!
Ok WOW! First of all I am so surprised and humbled that I would be named a nominee for any of the awards. I want to sincerely thank all those that put my name in. Thank You. I must admit that I am shocked to be named at all. I had to go to http://homeschoolblogawards.com/index.php/2007/03/23/welcome-to-the-homeschool-blog-awards/ and check out the description of this award. I was a bit surprised at the description as I read through it. Brutally honest? What does that mean exactly? I hope it’s a good thing
.
I often tell people, even in the weekly ladies meetings that I teach, that I can not help the fact that I am like an open book. Sometimes I really try and just close my mouth
. I think...Lord, I don't want to tell about that one. Yet the lips start moving or the fingers start typing it anyway. Often telling of my mistakes and failures. The mishaps of my days, my weaknesses (many there be), and occasionally I share a strength or two.
I really have no strength unless it comes from the Lord
. I thank God that He is my strength. He is my very present help in times of trouble. He is the fuel that keeps me going when I feel like I can not go on anymore. He is the joy that fills my heart when I look at my four children and know that because of Him I can raise them and not just as anyone would but in the way that they should go- His Way -as His Word instructs me to.
How can I be sure I can do this? He would not have told me to do so if it were impossible to be done. He has given me the ability, I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me
. I must believe this because it says so in His Word and His Word does not lie and changes not. Heaven and earth will pass away but the Word of God will live forever. For if it had not been for the Lord bringing me out of the life that I lived in times past, if it had not been for His saving grace, I would not be here today blogging about anything at all, not failure or success. I give Him all the glory for -I am what I am by the grace of God!
I think one reason I open up the way I do, especially here at HSB, is I feel I can get it out (whatever it may be
) and know that I will receive back from the wonderful blog friends that I have made or have yet to meet, good godly advice (hard to find), encouragement, and sincere heartfelt prayers to help me on this journey, homeschooling that is, for which I have embarked. I suppose this is one reason I am so surprised to be named for this award. There are so many other blogs that are much, much more deserving of receiveing this award than I.
I have so many times been blessed through the reading of the many other blogs out here in blogland and the comments left by readers on this blog, letting me know that I am not alone. I am not the only one facing whatever may be before me. I am not alone in not always doing it right. So often I have found through those readings that I am not strange
or that my children aren't the only ones who are facing the challenges they face. I have found that just like many other moms or dads, we all climb mountains in this walk of life. Thank God He has placed in us, about us, around us His Spirit and those willing to share and help give us a push, a shoulder, a nudge to keep on climbing no matter how high that mountain may look.
I do pray that whether or not I receive the award that I have so kindly been nominated for, that I will have been an encouragement and blessing to you, my sweet reader. I pray that through my sharing of life, past and present , through this journey- that I can be of some good to someone out there in blogland. I have been so blessed to have found this web community. When I count my blessings, HSB and all my dear friends here are definitely at the top of my list
. I really do not believe that I would be as enthusiastic about homeschooling if I had not been led (yes, I believe that even this area of my life has been a result of the Lords leading me) to HSB. Thanks so much again for all of you. If this is your first time here and you want to know more about me, just head over to my archives. Enjoy reading and if you’d like to know more, just ask.
Wow, I really rambled on there....LOL Sorry such a long post. Can You tell it's been a while since I really got to blog. Anywho, be blessed today and always in Christ Jesus.

I wanted to say Thank you to bubbebobbie from Encouragement Along the Way, and to proverbsmomof3 from Proverbs22:6 Academy and also to SchoolinRhome for this sweet award. I don't know if it is allowed but, I give it back to each of you ten times:) For you have definitely made me smile this last week. And God knows I really needed that.
So, here are the " rules " made by the person who created the award:
"The thing that I love most about blogging is that I learn so much about a person just by reading their blog. I have met MANY wonderful people with wonderful stories to tell, and I am grateful every day for each person that I have the pleasure of crossing paths in life with. I wanted to create something special for the top ten people who have inspired me through their blogging; the stories they tell, and the lives that they lead with grace and dignity. I visit their blogs for inspiration and encouragement. Please grab your badge and wear it (with a smile) proudly, and pass it on because you inspire and encourage me, thank you."
Pass it on to those who encourage and inspire you so you can Make them smile!
I want all the readers and all my HSB friends to know that each one of you make me smile:) When you leave comments, I smile. When I read your blogs, I smile. When I read about your homeschooling adventures, I smile. When I see pictures on your blogs of your homeschooling days (the good and not so good), or flowers, of nature, or lapbooks, or your children singing, working, playing, science projects, artwork, it all makes me smile. Okay, I know I have to narrow it down. It won't be easy but I sure will give it a try. Can I give back to those that gave it???? Okay well here goes, and in no particular order:
HisWillingVessel She inspires me in that she is a hs mom of eight children and has time to blog, smell the rose, take beautiful photo's. She shares recipes and a lot of healthy information. She is a Titus 2 Mentor and in todays society that is hard to find...well except on HSB
I look up to her and respect her advice and appreciate her encouragement.
SeekingJESUSnTeachingKIDS from Five In a Row I like that she posts photos of her family and her finds ("So whats in your pockets?), and because she has a great sense of humor and I can tell just by reading her entires. Her comments and her posts make me smile
sahmto4orMore . Her posts are full of smiles. She shares yummy recipes ( which I need more of), is a great mother, does all kinds of work even while she is pregnant ( like floors, and I'm not talking mopping). Reading about her days lets me know that I CAN do this.
MyChildrenAndMe Debbi has recently made me smile. I have wanted to find out how in the world to make my blog "prettier" like a lot of those I see on here. Well she has offered help and that definitely made me smile:) Also I enjoy her blog.
2peter318 JoAnn has been an encouragement to me from the beginning of my blog days here at HSB. She is quick to reply to an email, always with kind words and also fast at returning a visit to her blog.
WaitingontheLord Her post are full of laughs. If you have not read "Moleys" you have got to get over there and do so. Each time I even think about it I smile. Sometimes even laugh.
There are so many others ( like those who presented this to me) here at HSB that make me smile. I have been at this all day trying to narrow it to ten and decide just who I would give this to. Have I ever mentioned that I am terrible at decisions??
So I made it to six, nontheless there are so many more. Just know that if you are reading this, it is very likely that, you have made me smile
.
Oh yea, if you will, please keep me in your prayers. I have been pretty ill this weekend and will be going to the Dr. tomorrow. Momma can't stay sick too long cause if she does won't nobody here be wearing a "smile"
.
Be blessed in Christ Jesus,
Stacy
