Yesterday, we had a book sale in the morning, and before we left I asked the kids "did you make sure the bunnies were in their cage?"
"Yes, mama," they assured me.
Well, earlier in the week, they had made a new run for Thunder and Lightning (yes, very, very frightening) and lo and behold, they were not in their cages and this morning we found out they had eaten the tops off the onions, some lettuce seedlings and several hollyhocks.
They had squeezed through the garden gate. I finally understood exactly how Mr. McGregor felt! No more of this "taking the side of Peter Rabbit" for me!!
So, here are the escapees, a few days before they were naughty. Don't you love their get-a-way dump trucks?
Can you guess which one is "Thunder" and which one is "Lightning?" There might be a prize is you guess right, but then again, there might not be. :) It's a chance you take when you enter a contest on my blog. You have to read the fine print!
"the owner of the blog may or may not do anything she says she may or may not do."

Now, for the Great Friends part,
We got to spend the evening last night with my dear friend that I finally got to meet in person! Mrs. Paul Suarez. They stopped by and visited with our family at the lovely, hospitible home of Steve and Karen Walden. Keep an eye out in an upcoming issue for a great article by Mr. Walden of his love of trains!
Here is just a part of the great group of homeschooled kids there---

I was so blessed and amazed at how the kids all got along. And I thought Gena's kids would be bossy and stuff, like she is. LOL Just kidding of course! I wanted to keep everyone of these kids here with us. They were super. But I would need a bigger house......
Well, I want to blog more about this great time, but it is truly pouring rain outside, Thundering and Lightning-ing for real, so I better power off and save my computer :)
Hugs,
