If ONLY this is the worst thing to come out of our trip to the polls!!!

Did you all see this? A stunning blog entry from a lovely lady! Well, it was an inspiration to me, and so......

If you go over to my son's blog, you will see what we did today. Yum, yum! A feast for the eyes, and the tummy!

Well, we went out to do our civic duty and vote....and when we came home about 1/2 hour later, half of them were gone! (No, not the kids, I am talking about the "things" that Jill posted about and those same "things" on my sons blog.....)

Needless to say, Little Lady Midnight is one very unhappy dog tonight. She has been banished to the deck and will probably be out there (where she belongs ANYWAY) for a few more hours. Here is a lovely pic of the obviously mis-pedigreed pooch. This was taken right before she licked my camera lens.

(Doesn't that just hurt your eyes???)

Anyway, she must have thought she was a caterpillar or something, eating all those "things!" They were so pretty up there on the table, and when we came back from the polls, exactly HALF of them had vanished. Nary a crumb to be found; just a really guilty looking dog......plus you could see where her toe nails made little scratches in the table top.

So, would YOU eat the half that is left?

Oh man, after all the work to make those beautiful cookies, I would have killed the dog. I'm not sure if I would have eaten them, but I would have let the kids, for sure. They always put gross things in their mouth.

Oh my, those are beautiful works of art! I am so glad I came in today to catch this post. My son loves to bake so I think we'll play copycat and make some tomorrow or Saturday!

Ah, that rascally pooch! Can you blame her? No! :-) Now, would I eat the remainder... *glancing around*... anyone looking... yep, I probably would! LOL

Just like the plants springing forth we are following the Son, soaking up the living water and pulling the weeds. We can't wait to see what will bloom THIS growing season!

Oh, and just for fun, I will tell you a little about me, since that is what this space is for. :)

I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents. But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!

We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 17, 14, 12 and 10 years old.

We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them! We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
