It is so funny to check your sitemeter and find out it has gone nutso! And all because of my previous column, where I commented about a tongue-in-cheek post about homeschooling. I thought I better get back over there and see how it linked back to me and I just had to chuckle! All because I said basically that it is nobody else's business how a family chooses to educate their own children. (I said it was none of their bees-wax.) I just KNEW that was going to sound really crazy. But then again, sometimes I just don't listen to those little conscience pokes telling me not to say things like "bees wax."

Truthfully, I never claim to be anything less (or more) than who I am. Ask my kids, they will tell you in their own words that I am a bit weird.

So as far as her comment on my rebuttal on her article....wow, talk about driving my traffic up! Too bad I am not making any $$ off this crazy blog! And I just loved reading all her comments, she does get folks riled up. I will forgive her for using the "S" word so much---she is quite funny but can be very serious---read her own comments and see what she says about unschooling, for reals.

Ahhhh, thanks Nancy! There's hope for all of us I think. My son sure had fun reading your boy's blogs today. He wanted to write some comments but I was working on the turkey thing and didn't have time to help him. He told me all about each and every entry. So cute! I hope you'll get them writing more often. Just for us ok???

Just like the plants springing forth we are following the Son, soaking up the living water and pulling the weeds. We can't wait to see what will bloom THIS growing season!

Oh, and just for fun, I will tell you a little about me, since that is what this space is for. :)

I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents. But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!

We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 16, 13, 11 and 9 years old.

We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them! We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
