It has been beautiful weather here, (no snow right now) and we had a lovely Thanksgiving with friends. I have a great photo to share of that and hope to post it soon, after I get permission :)

On the Company Porch this week, Michelle posted a great collection of links and things all about snowflakes. Here it is. Last December, I posted a photo of my little darling's hair---with a very close up photo of a snowflake or two in it. You can see it here.

Also, I remember there was a really beautiful snowflake craft that was over on Mamaduso's blog. Here it is! My daughter made some of these and gave them away as gifts. She also made small ones for ornaments, or for necklaces. How fun!

I hope you all are having a lovely post-Thanksgiving weekend, and are enjoying the peace that only God can bring.

When we use to live in a climate cold enough to occasionally get snow I would keep black construction paper in the freezer. The when it would snow we could take it outside and catch snowflakes on it. The kids LOVED it! The snowflakes would stay for quite awile since the paper was cold. Just an idea. (And if you catch any good ones please post pictures! I miss snow! Well, I don't miss the actual coldness! LOL)

That snowflake in the hair picture is AMAZING! And to think that every snowflake is unique, it is truly awe-inspiring!

Welcome to my blog.
How nice of you to drop in. What is this all about you say? Well, take a look and see.

Just like the plants springing forth we are following the Son, soaking up the living water and pulling the weeds. We can't wait to see what will bloom THIS growing season!

Oh, and just for fun, I will tell you a little about me, since that is what this space is for. :)

I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents. But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!

We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 16, 13, 11 and 9 years old.

We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them! We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
