Boy, don't I sound awfully conceited? Or is that concieted? Oh, I hate spelling. At any rate, I have been so busy trying to spend time with the kids, clean the house, work part time (ha) and do support groups duties. Sigh. I have read some awesome blog entries lately, and just haven't felt much like doing any blogging.

I have had two kids sick this week, plus a sick friend who has needed much prayer....and then there is all the stuff going on in the world, the hurricanes, Israel, sigh, double sigh.

Just how are we supposed to deal with all these issues, these tasks, these trials? I can't do it! Plus, I have had (get ready for my "organ recital") a major headache for three days and it won't go away.......and I hate even mentioning those things. I know, I need to call the Dr---but then they won't find the root cause, and will just cover it up with meds. Sigh.

Well, now that I have broken every rule I have here---I DON'T like to talk about illness, I don't like to talk about all the things that bother me----and I wanted to be able to bring this to a nice close with some scripture to put it all into perspective.....

But just now my 7 year old, Josh, came in and said "Mommy, I know a good cure for your headache.......come lay down and snuggle with me!"

So that is where I am headed.

Remember you wrote the post with the above title. I'm glad that you said what's really going on in your life. I'm sorry about the headache. Pain like that makes it difficult to deal with anything else. I'll pray that it gets better.

Hi Nancy,
I've missed your posts, but at least you have a good reason. I hope you headache gets better; I liked Josh's suggestion and I hope it worked. Don't let it go on too long though. You have to take care of you to be able to take care of them.

I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents. But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!

We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 16, 13, 11 and 9 years old.

We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them! We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
