It is a glorious day! I hope your day is going well. I am SO excited about my new template! What do you think? Can you guess what my favorite flowers are?
We have had really good "luck" growing sunflowers here in Colorado. They do great, as long as the squirrels don't get to them. They get so big, and I love to plant morning glory vines near them, and watch them wind their way up the stalks. Oh, they are so beautiful!
I can remember the first time I ever saw a field of sunflowers, cultivated sunflowers. Somewhere over ....in Kansas! I was astounded! As far as the eye could see, there they stood. They all faced the same direction, towards the sun. I was in my teens back then, and didn't know anything about them. They follow the sun.
I didn't know anything about the 'Son' either. Well, only bits and peices, and it took awhile for those to all fit together in my mind. (And my heart.) Now, I too am following the Son. I want to look to Him each morning, drink His fresh, living water, feed on His word with my roots firmly planted by Him. And the last thing I will see at night will be Him. I will look to Him.
Just as those bright yellow beauties look to the sun, and grow, and bear their fruit---all those hundreds of seeds, oh, have you seen the beautiful design there, in the seeds? .......yes, just as they grow and flourish, I want to grow and flourish.
Under the tender loving care of the Master Gardener.
You see, I wasn't dropped here by accident, He planted me right where I am. Just as you too, were purposefully put where YOU are. He chose what kind of fruit you would bear, He chose the soil.
Oh, today it is my prayer that you see how much God loves you, and enjoy it, and embrace who you are! You will bloom in ways you never imagined!
Now, everytime you see a sunflower, won't you think of Him? He will add the salt, and make you a blessing for His glory!
Lovingly,
Nancy
P.S., this lovely template was created by my friend, Jodi. She is an amazing graphic artist and with a photograph I took, she created this beautiful page. Not just for me, but for you to enjoy and be blessed by. She did a beautiful job, and I can't ever thank her enough for spending her precious time on my whim. And, at the risk of sappiness :) Jodi, thanks for being my friend!
Her blog is HomeGrown Thoughts, and you can find her on my friends links.
