A sweet blogging lady gave me a wonderful award this week. Here it is!

I especially liked getting it because she had chosen 4 other bloggers and I SO enjoyed going to their blogs! I am never ceased to be amazed at the gifted writers out here in the blogosphere. I guess that is why I love to write so much, because I also love to READ so much. I would read 24/7 if I didn't have to do anything else ie. take care of my kids, eat, do laundry, pay bills.....all that FUN stuff. (The kids are the REAL fun stuff!)

Today we had fun, mostly the kids slept in after a long day and night yesterday so I got to have peace, glorious peace while picking up the house. It's been a crazy week, when I start thinking about it! I got stung by a yellowjacket, we had hail that damaged some of our garden, last week we had a tornado warning, um.....lets see, ~~the dog threw up on the carpet,~~ sorry, NOBODY wants to hear about that!

My eldest finished a dress for the county fair, and we went to the farm..........and got really dirty and tired. (Hard work! Great rewards!) And then we watched a fireworks display and sang some wonderful songs. Be sure to visit me on the HSB Front Porch!

Last weeks tornado's were forming directly over our home and our store - that was a bit freaky! As for the hail on the 4th that was wild too! We had to make DS come insode b/c he was in the yard trying to play in it! It was about 3/4 in. in size and bouncing off the deck cover and the trampoline. DS said "come and get me" just before it got that big and came down furiously, I told him it is extremely dangerous to tempt God and well, then it came down harder and bigger :) LOL Wonderfully, he did not get hurt! Sorry to hear about your bee sting!

Welcome to my blog.
How nice of you to drop in. What is this all about you say? Well, take a look and see.

Just like the plants springing forth we are following the Son, soaking up the living water and pulling the weeds. We can't wait to see what will bloom THIS growing season!

Oh, and just for fun, I will tell you a little about me, since that is what this space is for. :)

I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents. But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!

We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 16, 13, 11 and 9 years old.

We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them! We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
