My youngest son is NINE today! I can't hardly believe it! He is so excited about it that he woke me up about 6 a.m. to make sure I wouldn't forget. His brother and sister made him french toast for breakfast and they gave him a betta fish!
If you have a chance today, just zip by his blog and leave him a "Happy Birthday" message, ok? Be sure you are signed in, only registered users can comment!
Happy Birthday to your son.
wow!! You all did great in the fair. We're not super crafty around here, but I think this year Marissa is going to enter a drawing, and James and Ashley may enter a photo or two. We're usually gone that time of year, but shouldn't be this time.
You may have already gotten this, but I gave you an award. Come by and see.

Dear Josh,
We are so glad it is your birthday! I absolutely loved your recipe for scrambled eggs, and I am going to have to try it real soon. We have fresh eggs just about every day unless the chickens stop layin.' We are never very short on eggs (well almost never). It does get slow in December, due to a lack of light, but they should get a little rest once a year, don't you think? I heard you had a very nice party this afternoon. I wish I could have seen you jumping up and down on the trampoline. I'm sure it must have been a sight to see all you kids flying though the air. I can't wait to hear more about your birthday. Make sure you post about it tomorrow.
I actually stole the idea from my good friend Paulie, he posted a ton of links, and so I just did a run off from his idea. Everyone seemed to like it though!
I'm glad I could make up those banners for you, they came in handy in my portfolio.
Welcome to my blog. How nice of you to drop in.
What is this all about you say? Well, take a look and see.
Just like the plants springing forth we are following the Son, soaking up the living water and pulling the weeds. We can't wait to see what will bloom THIS growing season!
Oh, and just for fun, I will tell you a little about me, since that is what this space is for. :)
I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents.
But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!
We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 16, 13, 11 and 9 years old.
We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them!
We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
