Hair Cutting

• Jul. 28, 2007 - Can you cut your son's hair?

Of course you can!

Hair Cutting

With a few tips from me, you can learn to do a simple, clean cut basic haircut!

If I had to pay to have my kids hair cut at a salon we would be spending a lot every few months.  We aren't into the trendy cuts, although they are fun sometimes if they aren't too unruly looking.  My family likes to stick with some pretty normal looking hair!

I had a whole lot of fun taking photos of both my sons while I was cutting their hair.  (Cutting hair and taking photos at the same time is quite an achievement, I think!)  I wrapped it all up into a nice little E-book package am so excited about being able to help my homeschooling colleagues learn this very necessary skill.

If your boy needs a haircut right now, and you would like to try out my E-book, I would be very happy to send you a freebie, if you would promise to post a review of it on your blog.  Just let me know!

I will give it away to the first two people who leave a comment.

Blessings!

Nancy

p.s. If you don't get in on this in time, I am still having a special on the E-book until the 3rd of August!  I have lowered my price on it just for you. Just click on the banner!

Hi
Very nice blog. Good info. I know I am among the first to comment, but please send the e-book to another person. My husband shaves his head because he is going bald and my boys like to have theirs just as close to shaved as they can get.( I am NOT getting out the razor though!)
Hey, what do ya know, I'm Nancy too!

Ok, I have 4 boys who indeed do have hair. I have tried to cut their hair in the past using a Wahl clipper. It didn't go very well. Do you think you could teach a failure like me? If you think it is possible, I'll give it a try. Thanks

Yes, she is good at reviewing stuff! hahaah! Maybe she'll review my book when I get it published!

Anyway, yes we do have the Novak's book! I think I saw your piece in there! Thank you!

• Aug. 8, 2007 - Little boys haircuts

Nancy,
I find giving my boys haircuts a true challenge. One has thick hair the other fine. Daddy likes "high and tight" (former military) and always makes comments about the cuts (sometimes good sometimes not. the younger boy with fine hair will NOT sit still very long for a cut as the falling hair really bothers him. my older some (early teens now) is wanting a longer hairstyle but won't keep it combed.

I would LOVE to review a copy of you your book. Anything to help with wiggly boys and taming their mops I see as a blessing.

Wonderful blog

• Aug. 8, 2007 - contest!!??

Posted by amada
Well, I'm here to post my name and e-mail address, to enter the contest on today's Homeschool Minute... but I'm also here to wheel and deal!

My boys have been teased incessantly over the last month by both grandmas, grandpas and their dad over their hairy-ness. I usually cut their hair, but as they've gotten bigger it has become increasingly difficult to figure out a cut that works for them. So, it is by their choice, and my dread of the next cut, that I've let them go this long.

So, here's my offer:
I'm going to post later today about my shaggy-headed boys, and I'd love to post a review of your e-book as a follow-up! Please let me know if this set-up could qualify me for a free book!

About Me

Hi There!

Welcome to my blog.
How nice of you to drop in. What is this all about you say? Well, take a look and see.

Just like the plants springing forth we are following the Son, soaking up the living water and pulling the weeds. We can't wait to see what will bloom THIS growing season!

Oh, and just for fun, I will tell you a little about me, since that is what this space is for. :)

I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents. But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!

We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 16, 13, 11 and 9 years old.

We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them! We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
