But I am going to share it with you anyway!
Yesterday, was a unique day, although all of our days are. I see from the Blog news page that Gena says to share "a day in the life" kind of thing. And I always do what she says.
I had to take my 10 yr. old to the endo., since he has diabetes---that will be a future blog. So my eldest, who is 13 going on 30, watched the other kids while we were gone. She is highly capable, and we feel ok with that, for short periods of time. Keep reading and you will see what I mean.
While we were gone, my wonderful daughter cleaned out the fridge (which was full of all kinds of potential science experiments---can you believe the nerve of her?)
AND then she did the freezer, and organized the pantry.
Then, she cleaned the kitchen, and baked.
AND baked, and baked. Two kinds of cookies and homemade bread. The hand kneeded kind. I cheat and use my kitchen aid mixer. She never cheats. DRAT.
This child can accomplish more in a couple of hours than I can in a week.
She also sews without a pattern (makes her own), dyes and spins wool, and then crochets or knits it, and can do anything she sets her mind to do. Sigh.
So, then we did the cherry picking thing, and oh, I forgot to tell you that she made dinner last night too.
She is going to make someone a wonderful help-meet someday, and whoever you are out there....I am praying for you and you are going to make a wonderful husband for my girl.
Oh, and she can can shoot too----going hunting with her dad this year.
So if any of you have a perfect son out there, please pray that He would never meet my daughter, because I just don't think I can stand any more perfect people around here!!!!
Just kidding :) And trusting God for the future of ALL my wonderful kids!!!
Have a wonderful day~
Nancy
P.S., I will tell you what the other three did in the next installment! |
