My daughter was creating this dress!!! I was recently told it is OK to brag about my kids, so here goes. She made this, today, without a pattern. She made it up! It is really pretty, and she did a great job. It even has a zipper on the back. WHERE did this child come from????
WOW! How completely talented she is! And I LOVE that color!
Yes, you may brag on your kids all the time, especially around here. :-) It's a good reminder for all of us to think about the things that our kids do well...instead of focusing on the negative, don't ya think?
You have a right to be proud of her. I am a horrible seamstress. I can hardly sew using a pattern! Please tell your daughter how impressed I am with her dress. Love ~ Patricia
What a beautiful dress! She did a very lovely job! I like to sew and have done it for years, but I still feel more confident in using a pattern. (Although, I did get brave and design and make my wedding dress.) BTW, my 9-year-old son saw the picture of your daughter and said that she looks like a princess. :-)

Welcome to my blog. How nice of you to drop in.
What is this all about you say? Well, take a look and see.
Just like the plants springing forth we are following the Son, soaking up the living water and pulling the weeds. We can't wait to see what will bloom THIS growing season!
Oh, and just for fun, I will tell you a little about me, since that is what this space is for. :)
I am a mother of four lovely kids who are perfectly human in every way. They are sinful, selfish, loving, happy, grumpy, excited, capable, frustratable, (I know, that isn't a word but sometimes I make up my own) and sometimes contrite, and just like their parents.
But they are ours and we think they are all keepers!
We have homeschooled them all since birth with the trial and error method. I think they all have "made the grade" and they are now 16, 13, 11 and 9 years old.
We're not experts, except in the area of making mistakes and living to tell about them and hopefully learn from them!
We hope you will find some encouragement here as you read about the seasons of our life as a homeschooling family.
