OK, Lisa Q. tagged me, so here goes!
Q:What is your absolute favorite book?
A: Without sounding pious, I love the BIBLE. It is always revealing, always speaks to me in a new way, full of my "old favorites" and even if I read the same thing over and over, it can always bless me in times of trial and in times of plenty!
It renews me like a dip in a clear spring.
Q:What is your favorite book to have read to you?
A: Any one that my husband reads! When we first got married, we heard an excerpt from the "Love Comes Softly" series of books by Janette Oake. We were hooked, and so we started reading to each other. Even when we were apart, we read to each other over the phone, or we taped each other reading. Once, we were chaparones at a teen function, and he was in one dorm and I was in the other, and in the evening he called me on the phone and read to me! I know, sounds really sappy, but we were so in love.
(Still are! Just now, we have a bigger audience when we read to each other.)
Q:Have you ever started writing a book and not finished?
A: I have a book in my head (at least one!)
Q:If so, what was it about?
A: The time I mentioned above, when my husband and I caught part of an audio book by J. Oake, it was on the radio and we were traveling across country working for a moving company. We went through 28 states in 9 months, and have enough "adventures" from those trips to write a very "moving" book. We were newlyweds, and young Christians. God strengthened our faith many times while we were on the road. Can't wait to write this one!!! (Of course, my version will differ from the one my husband will tell you..... :)
Q:Today, if you were to write a book (assuming you had the time), what would it be about? (If you've already written a book, what do you dream of writing about one day?)
A: Other than the one above, I would like to write about my life, not because I think I am really special or anything, BUT I think the Lord has done some amazing things in my life and I am blessed to be the recipient of His grace and love. I think there are other homeschool mom's that may have similar challenges in their lives, because of "where they came from" and maybe what the Lord has done for me, might minister to those who are dealing with the same past issues.
God is truly Good, and if it is His will that I write it, so be it!
