We just got done with County Fair projects and got them ALL safely delivered to the fairgrounds yesterday.  No major mishaps this year (remember last year?)  Actually, one child who shall remain nameless, made one batch of the WRONG kind of cookies, which could disqualify his whole cookie project, so with only an hour or two to get there (and an hour to drive) he whipped up a new batch and baked a sheet of them before we left.  Talk about deadline pressure!!!

The kids did great though with their creativity once again.  Both girls entered in the "new quilter" category, so we'll see if they earn any ribbons on those.  We actually won't get to see how we did, although the judging was yesterday, until probably mid-week.  Crazy busy summer!

Today my oldest and I are doing an extreme home-makeover here, trying to get ready for some company.
