I just finished posting a new video, so check it out. I'm going to post up one of my stories, too. Please give your comments, and if any advice for it ( I'm working on taking creative critism) And It's really my first, so be gentle...please. I really don't show my stories to anyone, but my sister. Here it is:
Introduction
On a cool spring day Mrs.Valentin sat at the kitchen table sipping tea. This time of the day, when the kids were at school, was just about the only time when she could have some down time. At the moment she was being entertained by a little spider spinning a web on two of the beams holding up their worn down old porch. "Mama!" Mrs.Valentine turned around in her rocker the families youngest child, Lamia, came running into the front kitchen. "Yes, Dear?" Mrs.Valentin said Lamia opened her mouth to say something, but the spider out the window caught her attention. "Ohhhh-" Lamia murmured Mrs.Valentin followed her daughter, as she headed out the kitchen door. "Wow." Lamia said It was a rather large spider, so who could blame Lamia for being so interested in it. Of course there were lots of spiders on the Valentin farm, but this one was so beautiful. Something about the way it was going about weaving it's web, was just magical - as if it had a story to tell. Mrs.Valentin smiled at her daughter, who was now talking to the spider. Most of the Valentin children hated bugs, but not Lamia. She wasn't wasn't afraid of much, except for the dark. The two set down on the porch and watched the spider for awhile. " You know that spider reminds me of a story my mother used to tell me, when I was a little girl." Mrs.Valentin said " Really?" Lamia said calmly "Mmm. About a brave, and extremely curious young spiderling." "Mmm. What's the spiders name?" Lamia asked " It's funny you should ask, her name was Lamia - just like you." Mrs. Valentin smiled " I actually named you after Lamia, because it's such a beautiful name." " I love my name." Lamia said, and looked at Mrs.Valentin " I wanna hear the story." " Okay. The story beings on an amish farm 10 years ago....
CHAPTER 1: Lamia
A spider named Jenshin was headed to her home in the barn yard. She had laid her eggs there, and she knew the time for them to hatch was close. Now most spiders don't care for their young, they lay them and leave them, but Jenshin, which means "Confidence" in Japanese, wasn't like most spiders. She wanted her babies to grow up where she had, on this farm and with a guide to show them how to get the most out of everything. Jenshin arrived at her barn, and climbed up onto the rafts. There about 500 eggs lay. Jenshin didn't have long to wait, little spiders were crawling out of their sacks within minutes. The new mother eagerly welcomed her babies. And would you believe she named them all...all except one who just didn't seem ready to hatch. But this little egg wasn't forgotten. Oh, no, it wasn't forgotten. While the other 499 were learning to live off the bugs and things in the barn, Jenshin was carfully making sure nothing happened to the little egg. Finally a week after the other eggs, the last egg hatched. " Mama?" the little spider looked around " She is right here." Jenshin said, she had been hanging on a thread from the ceiling "Mama." " Hello, my little one. You are a little late, but it makes no difference to me." " Mama." Jenshin called her other spider babies to her, for them to meet the last spiderling of the family. " What's her name?" Asked Hato, the middle spider "Hmm, I hadn't thought of one, yet." Jenshin said " How about Momo!" cried Darling, the second oldest " Mmm." Jenshin frowned " No, Mulan." " Kirei !" " May." " No, I have it, " Jenshin smiled " yesterday the Colt family had a baby, and she was so beautiful - she died today. " Her name was Lamia, I want to name this one Lamia for the Colt's." And everyone nodded in respect, and admiration for their mother and the Colts - who had lost their baby.
TWO WEEKS LATER
It was autumn and the Colt children were off to school. While the young spiders were at school as so. Of course it wasn't the same kind of school that humans attend. Oh, no. You see spiders have to know entirely different things from humans, so they need entirely different schools. And their teacher was Jenshin - Okay, so this isn't Miss Sunny patch. The young spiders were homeschooled by their mom, she took them on nature walks, and taught them to hunt, and supervised their web making. All the little spiders loved it, except one. Yep, you guessed it, Lamia. Why, because she was more interested with what was going on near the Colt's house. She was always running of and watching the Colt children, spinning spider webs on the house porch, and trying to get into Mrs.Colt's garden. Now you might think oh what a naughty spider, but hey spiders are around humans more than you know, so she was just doing what most spiders do - she was just doing it at the wrong time. "Lamia..Lamia!" Jenshin called from her web " Hmm-" Lamia mumbled " Come in already, it's getting late." "Aww, I'm watching TV." Lamia frowned She was on the window watching the Colt's while they sat and watched the television set. Jenshin swung over to the window. " Lamia, Now." Jenshin said gently " Yes, MaSpi." Lamia sigh Jenshin and Lamia headed to the barn. Lamia's spider siblings were already making their spider swings and getting ready for bed. Lamia tried to maked her own spider swing, but she only ended up in a tangled mess! " Do ya need some help, Lamia?" Kappa, the third to yougest, said " No, no. I can do it!" Lamia answered Kappa watched her, for awhile, then asked again. This time Lamia accepted. Lamia's swing was right next to Hato, and Hato had a thing for talking. So while everyone else was asleep in their swings, Hato and Lamia talked away. Whispering about what they knew and who their favorite sibling was. " I think when I grow up, I'd like to be a mother , like Maspi." Hato said " Why?" Lamia asked Hato yawned " well, because, you get to tell everyone what to do...and show spiderlings stuff they never knew, and they look up to you for it." " You already tell everyone what to do." " Well, then everyone will listen, they never listen now." Hato sighed "Hmm, I wanna be an explorer," Lamia said excitedly " and have lots of wonderful tales to tell from my adventures!" " Sounds exciting." Hato said "Yea," Lamia yawned this time " I'm going to travle every where and meet everyone. " Because nothing ever happens here, so I'm going to go find an adventure." " You better be careful , Maspi says sometimes adventure finds us, and you don't want to get lost." " Getting lost is apart of the adventure, silly." Lamia said
" Whatever, Goodnight."
" Goodnight" Then both spiderlings closed their eye's and went to sleep.
Well, that's it. If you like it I'll post the next chapter next week.
