May. 6, 2006~ My Dream Home ~
Today is another big day clearing all the debrie and stuff that my dmil has accumilated for the last 25 years. It has been the catch all so we have been taken about a dozen dump loads out. So we can dig the foundation for our house. I think I should clarify what I mean by dream home. I am not talking about some fancy house , it is actually a very basic and simple. I had given up on the whole idea of ever owning our own house about 2 years ago. A couple of peolple at church from time to time would approach us and say they really thought we should get out of renting and own a house . My response was" well it was up to God because we have done everything we could." Well there is a long and amazing story that I will blog over time and give a testimony of what God has done.It has been so neat to see my boys really rolling up their sleaves and helping with the house. The kind of homeschooling I really like, hands-on.I just pray for protection on everyone who helps with building. Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Psalms 127:1

Jun. 24, 2008 - I found the whole story of the House that God Built

I'm more familiar with blogs and stuff now. I hadn't noticed the little words at the bottom of the page "next page". Silly me! I read how you had this dream for 16 years of having your own house instead of renting. I read how people have given you building materials and labor for free or reduced prices. Now I see what you're talking about. Our situation is similar. We had our own house but lost it to foreclosure after we gave the Lord complete rein over everything in our lives. He let that happen for reasons that are just now starting to come clear to us. Now we're renting a house in a city. We don't want to live in the city and we don't want to rent. We don't want a big mortgage, either. We want God to do a miracle for us. We've been praying for a big, beautiful house for 7 years- The whole family... My husband, me and all of the kids old enough to know how to pray. We really believe that He is going to give us a big enough house for our size of family with land, too, so they can do nature study and run and play and have fun in the great outdoors. So I loved reading your story. It's very inspiring to me. I'm so glad you mentioned to me that it's all there. I'm glad I finally know to look for the words at the bottom that tell me to go to the next page!
Love,
Penney
