May. 23, 2006~ Facing my Goliath ~
Well last night my hubby was on the phone with our neighbor that is bordering our land to the West. He has been a challange for my Mother in law for 30 years and now he has become our challange. This morning when my hubby's alarm clock went off I layed their thinking about what happened on the phone and what was said. He wants us to upgrade his portion of the water line and give the easement of the road partly on our land so he can ( I cant' remember the terms ) have a certified road for his future development of subdividing his land. What do we get ? Well, we would get the easement for our water system again and he would give us the easement for road access. But we are probably going to lose 10 to 15 feet of where we were going to build. So we need to move over where we were going to build. The one blessing of the escavatior catching fire and stopping the guy from digging the foundation was we won't have to fill the spot and dig again. Maybe that is why God allowed that to happen. As I was laying in bed thinking it came to me about it being like facing Goliath. It also came to me " The battle belongs to the Lord". All we need is one smooooooooth stone. So " Lord please help bring down the Goliath's in our life."Instead of a arrow picture a sling shot and 5 smoooooth stones. How does this pertain to HS? It is" Life" and it effects the whole family.I hope I can focus well today in our school and give it to the Lord and trust him. He can do alot more than we can if we give it to him.

Be sure and get any deals with this guy in writing and "legal". It sounds like he could be a problem for the rest of your lives, and you don't want to have things grey when dealing with him in the future. You might also ask a lawyer whether he can legally do what he is proposing too.
I totally agree and we plan to. You are very right about him not being trustworthy and having to do everything with a lawyer over seeing ( and all on paper.) I do want to ask a lawyer if he can even do all this and what are our rights and all the legal info we can get.

Well, the preacher in Ecclesiastes was right. Life is full of trouble. The sooner we accept it, the more content we will be. I keep telling myself this as my water is cut off every day at any time our landlord so chooses. We've talked to him until blue in the face and he just smiles, says okay, and ignores us! I am finally realizing that these things are for my personal benefit, not my bane. It makes me sweeter when I give up fretting about it. I can't do anything, anyway, except pray and surrender. Don't know why I 'm telling you this. It just gushed out today...
That is exactly what when we prayed and received. We want things to be settled, be done with, and make peace. I am getting a big case of goose bumps. Others have said similar things. This mans girl friend's son ( still following :) ) plays with my second son and after all this I am not gung ho about the two playing together. Alot because of hurt feelings. The next day after the phone call with him, my Boys and I where reading our devotional in " Boyhood and Beyond" the one titled " Forgiveness and Dirty Diapers. " It talked about how like this old man keeping all these dirty diapers and knowing exactly who they belong to and when he got then. He would reminace about who's it was , where it was found, and when he found it. He had a shed where he stored all the diapers and whould bring out the diaper when talking about his memories of the diaper. All this relating to us and how if we are not carefull we too can be holding on to dirty diapers in our lives by not forgiving the people in our lives. What you said worked right along with what I belive God wanted me to do. When you said it gushed out of you ( probably not pun intended , hee hee) it just showed me God was working threw you - I could feel the goose bumps like the Holy Spirit Moving. I do feel that God wanted me to find you threw this blogging experince and I am glad he brought you to my blogg site. Thank you, you have been a blessing

I just got off the phone with my hubby and we are having to decide to bite the bullet or not with the water system and road or don't build this year. I really believe we are to let things go and let God. I really do belive the Holy Spirit moved threw you. God bless.

We will be going in and getting legal advice on what all our rights are and see what a lawyer advises us to do. I knew there my be problems but here we are working threw them. This morning I was praying and I got" have patience, have forgiveness, and trust in the Lord. "So I guess I need to buckle down and pray and wait on the Lord.
